Endroit super sympathique & au look moderne ! Les sushis sont frais, avec de très bons mix de saveurs. Par contre, les entrées étaient beaucoup trop salées, & les brochettes quasiment brûlées (j'ai pas la photo, mais tant mieux pour le resto !). Le serveur a vu le tout sans trop réagir, ce qui est un peu décevant.

Un petit mot pour expliquer le menu ou donner des suggestions, surtout quand c'est notre première visite, ça aurait été apprécié. On a aussi manqué d'eau pas mal tout le long du repas, alors que le resto était presque vide.

Un ajustement dans la formation du service & un meilleur suivi sur la cuisson des plats seraient les bienvenus !
avertissement : le stationnement autour est vraiment un cauchemar !

Super bon, le serveur était incroyable & la nourriture était très bonne! Le staff nous a bien accueilli avec un sourir & une excellente humeur. Ils nous ont même offert une soupe miso pour goûter! J'y retournerai certainement.

Que se soit au niveau du service & de la nourriture c'était top!
Les sushi sont savoureux & vraiment frais.

J'hésite à dire à quel point j'ai aimé ce restaurant… parce que point de vue culinaire, c'était un délice; l'entrée & le repas principal: juste trop trop bon! & j'aimerais que les gens ne connaissent pa ce restaurant pour que j'ai de la place lorsque que je veux y venir!!! Hihi!! Mais ce serait égoïste… Allez-y sans tarder!

My boyfriend & I had the best experience at Umamia yesterday. The rolls were phenomenal (shoutout to the griffin) & Pierre-Marc offered exceptional service! Can't wait to go back.

Littéralement le meilleur sushi que j'aie jamais goûté ! Des saveurs incroyables, une texture parfaite & un vrai travail de finesse. Mention spéciale à la soupe miso au délicat goût de homard : une vraie découverte. Les desserts, quant à eux, sont aussi beaux que savoureux. Une expérience culinaire exceptionnelle, un vrai 10/10 !

Jan'24: We tried this place for the first time & were impressed with the seafood quality for an affordable price. They certainly get a good provider for the tuna 💯 The sashimi pieces are thick & fresh. It's the first sushi place where I see more tuna than salmon is served in rolls. What I find not on point is the sushi sauce & soy sauce which is a bit salty to my taste. We got the platter for 4 & the price is amazingly good for this quality.

The place itself is spacious & has a zen decor, music is not loud. They don't have alcohol license so only mocktails available. Overall it was a nice experience & certainly a nice addition for the Griffintown area.

Apr'24: Food & quality are still great. There's now an outdoor terrace also. The only bemol is the service which is kinda slow & the waiters don't come by very often.

June'24: We're trying the terrace for the time & the seating was very comfortable. It has the Ibiza vibes with the sun & a nice background music. The service can't be better as they gave us free sashimi for bringing out the wrong item.

Aug'24: We had a wonderful dinner with friends who tried this place for the first time. The newly introduced BYOW makes this place even more attractive! The sushi/sashimi are amazing as usual. It took a bit of time to get the food but we quickly forgot about it once the food arrived & the alcohol kicked in.

Dec'24: We came back with some friends. Sushi quality is still good but price has increased a lot compared to beginning of the year. Platter Abundance is now $169 instead of $129!! The restaurant was full. We ordered extra sashimi on top of the platter, asking to have it come out first & they were not able to do it. The sashimi actually came after 😐, & the restaurant felt a bit cold as if it wasn't heated enough. We hope the restaurant will keep up with its reputation.

Sept'25: We've been few times since but this time we noticed a difference so thought of writing a comment. We usually order combos & this time the sashimi, nigiri, maki pieces... everything are smaller in size. I'm even shocked to see how tiny it is the uramaki. Seems like it's different chef doing & it's not as good. Quite disappointed!
