Nous n'avions pas été déçu ! La nouriture est succulente, on sent bien que les plats sont frais & il y a pleins de saveurs. On peut voir les cuisinier à l'oeuvre, ils préparent les planches sur le comptoir. Même la sauce soja a plus de goût qu'une sauce classique.
En dessert j'ai pris le cheesecake au mâcha : très belle découverte, c'est un des meilleur cheesecake que j'ai mangé.
Dommage que les portions sont plutôt petites par rapport au prix..
En résumé : super endroit pour manger des sushis mais préparez votre porte monnaie pour manger à votre faim.
De plus, le lieu est chaleureux & le personnel est aimable. Prévoyez de réserver à l'avance, vous pourriez manquer de place.
We enjoyed the ambiance & the location: a peaceful little spot surrounded by tall buildings, which made for a charming outdoor dining experience.
However, some aspects of the evening left us disappointed. We paid over $120 for 23 pieces of sushi & a very average, industrial-style dessert. For that price, we expected higher quality & a more exciting taste experience.
When you pay for service, you naturally expect that it includes basic things like serving the wine you brought yourself. I hadn't noticed the small note on the menu mentioning a corkage fee, & the waiter never pointed it out either. I only realized it when the bill arrived. This seems inconsistent with the restaurant's promotional message, which highlights the option of bringing your own wine-something that feels less generous when you're charged to actually drink it.
Sometimes it's not just the food, but all the small things combined-parking difficulties, hidden charges, & a sense of imbalance between cost & quality-that can leave a lasting impression.
We hope the experience improves in the future, but for now, it feels like a place we wouldn't rush back to.

I had an amazing experience at Umamia. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable - fast, friendly, & professional. Our waiter was incredibly attentive, checking in just the right amount & offering thoughtful recommendations that really elevated our meal.
Following his suggestions, we shared the wasabi chips, truffle-parmesan edamame, & miso soup to start - each dish was delicious.
The sushi itself was fresh, beautifully prepared, & absolutely delicious. You can tell they prioritize quality ingredients. Every bite was balanced & flavorful.
Nous avons pris la composition planche'Experience' & la quantité était idéal pour 2 personnes. La sashimi de saumon est délicieux & fond dans la bouche.

Bonjour; tout d'abord les sushis sont excellents & très frais. Les meilleurs que j'ai mangé & je suis connaissante en sushis. Le service était impeccable. En plus c'est un apportez votre vin . Ça vaut le détour. Je recommande les yeux fermés . A-1 note 100%
180$ a deux le riz n'était pas correctement cuit (légèrement croquant pour certains sushis), quand signifié au serveur il ne savait pas quoi répondre & surtout pas quoi faire. Très beau mais très average comme gout pas du tout satisfait pour le ratio prix/qualité & cher pour la quantité.
Je n'y retournerai pas.
J'ai testé ce restaurant sur une vidéo d'influenceur (ma conjointe) mais je n'y retournerai pas.
Vraiment dommage l'ambiance est bonne.

J'ai adoré!! Les sushis étaient vraiment délicieux, grande qualité des ingrédients, prix abordable, le service ultra sympathique & une belle ambiance pour rire & discuter entre amis. Ça deviendra un must pour les soirées sushis!
Tout était parfait. Ambiance & musique présente mais on est capable de se parler, service rapide même si tout est fait frais devant nos yeux, superbe présentation, tout goûte différent & délicieux, service A1! On recommande! Réservez au moins 1 jour d'avance car c'est plein.
Un très beau restaurant de sushis à Montréal centre-ville! Très belle expérience des sushis classiques parfaits & des inédits incroyables! Je vous conseille le plat pour 3 à 2, c'était parfait! Le personnel était vraiment à l'écoute & gentil. Le seul défaut: le parking autour, même s'ils n'y sont pour rien, & qu'ils le précisent sur leur site! En vrai, c'est parfait! Merci
You've done something great here. The decor is really cool, the staff is amazing, & the food was premium, excellent. The quality was definitely there, & I have to admit-we're pretty picky when it comes to sushi, but you absolutely delivered. Best spot for sushi. Well done!
