Review Summary

Umamia delivers a standout sushi experience with ultra-fresh fish, creative rolls, and thoughtful presentation, supported by a warm yet refined atmosphere and attentive service. The BYOW concept adds value for wine lovers, though corkage fees and occasional slow service are noted. Dishes like the Griffin and Tokyo uramaki, miso soup, sashimi, and a wide variety of rolls are praised for quality, while some guests note that portions can be smaller for the price and that parking nearby can be challenging. Overall, the restaurant is seen as a top choice for dates or groups, with frequent praise for freshness, balanced flavors, and a sleek, cozy setting that invites lingering and conversation.

Nice place but overpriced for the quality. The Japanese Salad was great but the tuna & salmon sashimi were essentially tasteless. Same for the rolls - you could only taste the sauce & avocado/other ingredients, not the salmon. Service was slow & distracted. Overall ok but there's a mismatch with pricing.
