I come here often, they have the best Miso ramen in Montreal. It's so flavourful & not overly salty. One of my favourite spots in Montreal, a must try for anyone looking for really good ramen!
As others have said, this place used to be good.
I went yesterday & was really disappointed. The tonkotsu ramen with chasu (pork) was very bland, I had to put a bunch of hot sauce in it to give it flavour. The piece of pork was small & dry. The noodles were below average. The ramen bowls are small compared to other places. But really the worst part is it gave me food poisoning! An hour or so after I got home (& didn't eat anything else) I suddenly had diarrhea, nausea & exhaustion. A few hours later I felt better & today I feel fine so I know that it was not a flu but indeed something I ate here.
The reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 is that the service was okay (it was quick, although not overly friendly & it felt a bit rushed) & the Karaage & yuzu beer were decent. The decor is also cute.
I won't be coming back unfortunately. Has the chef or management changed or something? Because I see I'm not the only one who's been disappointed (or ill from their food!) as of late :(
Ramen is alright but broth to me was quite bland. I tried it twice to see if it was just a one off.
Matcha Tea is from tea bags (They warn you in advanced so it's fine just disappointing).
Service was decent
ramen is pretty good, but not the best in the area. the cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired though. every time i visit at least one of my plates/utensils isn't clean
Point faible: musique un peu trop forte !
Super service attentionné !
Je vais souvent à cette endroit, le service est efficace & la qualité des ramen varie entre très très bon & très très très très bon.
Came by on a Friday night as a party of 3. Overall good experience (It was better when I came a few years ago). Service was okay, but we were expecting more responsiveness from the front of house staff. Ramen was good, but nothing to write home about. An unpleasant draft of cold air coming from the front door every time new patrons or delivery guys came in made the experience less than average.
I'm hoping my next visit will be better because I do enjoy this spot albeit this review of my last visit could give the impression was that it is subpar-which it usually is not. Try it out, you'll hopefully have a better experience than I did on that cold Friday evening.
As a neighbourhood ramen joint, it's decent, but far from one of the best ramen in Montreal. The broth lacks depth & I'm not fond of the thin white noodles. IMHO, I find nearby Nakamichi, Yokato Yokabai, even Ramen-Ya have better ramen than this place.
Also they cook their broth in sequential batches - what kind of ramen joint only has one pot simmering at a time??? Once I arrived at 12:20pm & did not realize I had just missed a batch. Fortunately I had something to read, but realized over 30 minutes had passed, a rather long time to wait for ramen during lunch hour rush. This means that the guy who got seated next to me 20 minutes after I arrived, only got to wait 10 minutes for his ramen.
If they had communicated this to me when I ordered, it would have helped. But no, I had to ask the server why it was taking 35 minutes to make a bloody bowl of ramen.
Edit: It's been a few years now & I have never come back since. So many better ramen alternatives out there! With prompt service!
The tonkotsu ramen wasn't salty enough for me at first, but once I added the sauce provided by the server it was great. The noodle is thin which I love, & the chasu was pretty tasty too. I went to the one in bishop & decided to give another try & didn't get disappointed. Still one of the best ramen in the town.
The sides were very good though. Employees are rude.
Staff seem a little cold or maybe inexperienced, hard to tell. Food wasn't bad by any means but probably my least favourite ramen I've ever had. Seems more of a pleasing aesthetic rather than quality food or warm service.
Première visite au Tsukuyomi & c'est sûr que j'y retournerai. La nourriture était fraîche, bonne & je me suis sentie rassasiée à la fin de mon bol. Le bouillon du ramen était excellent ! Je recommande définitivement.
