Review Summary

Overall, Tsukuyomi Ramen is praised for flavorful broth, perfectly cooked noodles and tender chashu, with generous portions and good value; the menu features highlights like chicken karaage, takoyaki and a miso ramen, and many reviewers describe a cozy vibe and solid service, though some visits note the ramen arriving not very hot, occasional overcooked egg or dry pork, and a few mixed experiences with service or cleanliness, while vegan ramen and yuzu beer are well liked and the place is frequently described as a strong ramen option in Montreal.

A delicious bowl of ramen. Broth was flavorful, noodles perfectly cooked & pork chashu tender with a hint of smoke. The chicken karaage was super juicy on the inside & came in a very generous portion. Will definitely be back again.

Went back a second time & got the chicken instead of the pork chashu & it was very juicy & tender. Also tried the tako wasabi & that was very good as well. The wasabi flavour is quite strong which I enjoyed. Probably best to not take a super large portion for the first one.

Update
Went back again & tried the miso ramen, the ship ramen & the eggplant. Everything was excellent. The ship ramen is on the lighter side & the miso on the heavier flavour side.

The ramen was not very hot when it arrived, which was not enjoyable to eat half way through. I found the egg was quite overcooked & the chashu was dry. Takoyaki & kaarage was good!

I was left disappointed by the ramen as I often go to their location on Bishop, where the food is consistently 5 stars.

Long time customer, since their opening. Over the years, there has been many many changes, some good, some disappointing. The very first iteration of the cold ramen (the one with the noodles in an ice bowl & the most delicious dipping sauce ever) was fantastic. The tonkotsu always has been good but sometimes the egg is freezing cold, sometimes the chashu is a very small slice sometimes very generous & thick. Overall, it always was my to-go place. But recently, I am absolutely sure they changed the noodles, which is like the most important part of a ramen bowl. They used to taste fresh & natural. Now, they have that dry & starchy mouthfeel, like the commercial processed noodles we get in instant noodles. They no longer feel bouncy & chewy at all. Just undercooked dehydrated store-bought noodles. They say they didn't change it but the staff there is always new, so they have no clue of the precedent menus over the years. Anyway, broth is still good but the noodles are not worth it anymore. Will now get my ramen fix at Nakamichi

Was a bit disappointed by the broth. It was too rich & tasteless. The chashu also was too lean & thick. Good starters. But there are better ramen places.
