I've been coming here for decades, & my latest visit has been the best one yet.
Each dish was excellent & the portions were as generous as ever. I highly recommend the house wine (red), the'everything salad', the grilled octopus, the fried zucchini, the saganaki & the grilled porc.
Our waiter was also excellent in making recommendations.
& to cap off our feast, the bill was fairly priced. For quality, portion & price, Tripolis is hands down the best authentic Greek experience in the area.Voir plus

I ordered for the very first time today. I had the Chicken Souvlaki plate with fries, Greek potatoes, & a large'everything salad'. Absolutely delicious!! I will be ordering again soon for sure!Voir plus
Great service. Food was generally good, but I wasn't a fan of their roasted potatoes, maybe due to lack of seasoning. The salad offered with the meal was big, but the dressing was basic, probably healthier, but not the tastiest. I liked their dessert called galaktoboureko. One of the few or the only restaurant open until 10pm weekdays in that side of Laval, in 2024.Voir plus
Generous portions. Calamari was alright & the marinara sauce was tastier than most but also very gelatinous instead of saucy. Lamb chops weren't bad. Rice was flavourful. House salad was just fine, although I wish the app would tell you what the difference was between that & a green salad for example. Galaktobouriko was typical.Voir plus
Good tasting & good value. I dream bout this salad!Voir plus
Dining at Tripolis was an unforgettable experience for our group of six, making our evening not just a meal, but a journey through Greek culinary excellence. From the moment we sat down, the aroma of what tasted like freshly baked bread welcomed us, hinting at the feast that was to follow. This wasn't just any bread; it was toasted to perfection, warm & comforting, setting a high bar for what was to come. Our adventure continued with salad that was a revelation in itself - robust, fresh, & satisfying enough to be considered a meal. The Shrimp Tripolis, sautéed in wine, was a standout dish, cooked to perfection & capturing the essence of the sea with every bite. Not to be outdone, the Fried Calamaris raised the bar for seafood, tasting as if they were caught & cooked in the same breath, delivering a freshness that's hard to find. Despite the indulgence in appetizers, we found room for the main courses, among which the Quebec baby lamb chops were a marvel of culinary artistry. Each chop was a masterpiece, cooked flawlessly to exude flavors that were both rich & delicate. The Greek chicken accompanied by unbelievably delicious potatoes rounded out the meal, leaving an indelible mark on our palates. Our companions were equally pleased with their selections, adding to the chorus of approval. What truly set Tripolis apart, however, was not just the food, but the atmosphere. Despite the restaurant's official closing time of 9 PM, we found ourselves comfortably seated well past this hour, surrounded by a bustling environment of satisfied diners & a staff that radiated happiness in their work. The privilege of being served by Sotiri, the owner himself, added a personal touch that made the evening even more special. Tripolis is not just a restaurant; it's a place where passion for food & joy in service blend seamlessly to create an experience that transcends the ordinary. Our dinner was more than just a meal; it was a celebration of Greek culinary traditions, delivered with a warmth & hospitality that's rare to find. We left with full stomachs & happy hearts, knowing that whenever the craving for authentic Greek cuisine strikes again, Tripolis will be our undeniable choice.Voir plus
Been here many times in the past but it was my first time back after a few years, & it's still absolutely delicious. Portions are very generous, everything is so flavourful & well presented. Additionally the menu is very well priced, both food & alcohol will not break the bank. The cold pikilia plate gave an amazing assortment of all their cold appetizers, enough for 3-4 people. The chicken is so juicy, & the accompanying salad was bigger than expected for a side. Service is super friendly & fast, even in a crowded bustling dining room. Highly recommend Tripolis.Voir plus
Just delicious... went for the first time.... We were 4 people... we ordered: lentil soup, a large tzatziki, & small skordalia, a grilled chicken breast, salmon, chicken&pork souvlaki stick, & 6 lamb chops... each meal came with a salad, some got grilled veggies, some got fries... we even had dessert the skor, galaktabourikos, & loukomades From start to finish we all loved everything! Can't wait to go backVoir plus
Excellent. We ordered an appetizer of scordalia it was too garlicky for our liking. I would not recommend it. We then had one pork stick, accompanied by a greek salad, for an extra $1.50, & fries. Delicious. A whole chicken breast, with a greek salad & rice was also ordered. The breast was boneless, skinless & juicy. Delicious. Because it was a Tuesday night it was quiet but reservations on the weekend are a must. Enjoy. We have now been back several times & this place is definitely our go to Greek restaurant.Voir plus
A li'l rustic Greek restaurant with food that'll surprise you! The brochettes were fork tender, the salads were amazing! The lamb chops! The lamb chops man! Don't go crazy ordering, you'll end up taking it home, oh wait that's a bonus to have it again at home, just shows you how well the portions are.Voir plus
After working late yesterday, we decided to try Tripoli on a week night. I don't remember the food ever being so good! We ordered the cold Pikilia & it was plentiful. Everything on the plate was delicious from the Kopanisti, Tzantziki, to the beets, & herring. I must have eaten 3 slices of bread with it. We then shared a 2 stick souvlaki plate (one chicken & one pork) with the flat potatoes, & the everything salad. Everything was tasty, cooked to perfection, & I appreciate they did not use a lot of salt. The superior ingredients spoke for themselves , we took leftovers & today they are just as good. The price was also reasonable. Great to see new ownership doing a great job!Voir plus
This restaurant is a typical Greek style diners, no decor whatsoever, but the food is fresh & good.
We were 4 people on a busy Saturday night, place was packed with mostly Greek diners, which is a sign the food is authentic & good.
It’s a family style dining experience, where you order several dishes for everyone to share.
Appetizers: Octopus was good, Calamars also good, fried Zucchini were okay but too much batter & oily, the Tzatziki sauce was really thick & light , not too much garlic, simply delicious. The Greek salad was also very fresh & good.
We ordered a kilo of lamb for our main course; it was really good & more than enough for four people...with all the entrees & bread/tzatziki, this was plenty of food.
dessert: Loukomades ,which are fried pastry dough balls drizzled with Honey , warm & delicious.
Wine list was okay, prices were extremely reasonable, some starting at $30-$40
Price wise, it is very reasonable, approx $150 per couple with tax & tip.
I would recommend it for a casual night out with friends that have good appetites.
Went with the girlfriend & her parents for a nice night out. If you want souvlaki on pita, look elsewhere. But if you want authentic Greek food, then this is the place!
We had the octopus, taramosalata, tzatiki as starters & they were fantastic; the tzatiki was thick & tasty - not runny like you get at other places. Octopus with capers coulda been a meal unto itself.
Dinner was lamb (by the kilo) with sides of potatoes, rice & greek salad. I highly recommend trying the oven roasted potatoes with lemon...I prolly put on 5 lbs with those alone.
Dessert was the little dough balls (dunno what they're called) with honey & yoghurt...OMG, I stuffed myself.
