My family & I come to Trattoria Trestevere every time we're in Montreal. My kids love it, we love it, & we look forward to our visit every time. It is consistently delicious. Simple & authentic italian dishes. The food tastes like it came out of my Nonna's kitchen & the hospitality & warm welcome from Mauro & Joe only adds to the experience. 5 stars all around!!!

The place itself isn't the nicest, quite old school. The temperature switches on & off from extremely hot to cold. The food was quite good, but better elsewhere. The owner is a little pretentious but good place overall.
Ciao a tutti, for those that are not happy, most probably your approach was not the most positive, therefore you've got negative feed back...been here few good times, & never complained. We came on Valentine's Day expecting a nice evening, but instead had one of the worst restaurant experiences ever. As soon as we sat down, the owner approached us with an aggressive attitude & to the question how long we should wait, because we have been waiting 25 minutes, he said,'If you don't like it, leave my restaurant,' before we had even ordered anything.
The service was nonexistent, & the owner was extremely rude & unprofessional. Being treated this way on a special day made it even more disappointing.
Completely unacceptable behavior. I would never return & absolutely do not recommend this place.
I have traveled a lot, & as a person who really knows a lot about restaurants & service, I would say worse restaurant owner I have ever seen! Never go there!
It is a sweet & quaint very home like vibe. Not a bunch of glitz & glam but it was an old school Italian restaurant, very approachable & has the best espresso martini I have had in years. The chicken parm & the shrimp in the garlic wine sauce was exceptional. I went the previous year to another Italian restaurant in Montréal with all that glitz & glam & the food was a flop. This food here exceeded my expectations. The restaurant was very cozy & romantic perfect for a date night.
Restaurant italien traditionnel. L'hôte s'assure que vous soyez bien. Le service est très bien, la lasagne était excellente. Ambiance calme & décontractée. Le seul bémol c'est les prix. Une lasagne & un verre de vin maison m'ont coûté 68$ tout inclus.
Je dois baisser ma note, car j'ai été très surpris une fois la facture arrivée. Malheureusement, on nous a chargé une bouteille d'eau pétillante à un prix astronomique sans même nous avoir averti que ce serait payant comme choix, j'étais très déçu car ça m'a apporté des arguments avec ma femme sur le retour... Autrement, j'ai adoré l'ambiance chaleureuse, l'accueil excellente & l'atmosphère chaude de la place. Félicitations particulières au responsable de la place & la la demoiselle du service, souriant & attentionné tous les deux.
What a wonderful discovery! Tucked off Crescent St., this family run restaurant doesn't disappoint. Lovely service & great food. The gnocchi dessert is a must try.

We were here for our Thanksgiving in the states. We stumbled upon this restaurant & it did not disappoint! The Lasagna was to die for. The service was phenomenal.
If you're in the area it is a must to stop here & eat.
Great service, amazing food & the ambiance perfect. We absolutely loved it & highly recommend it. We need to hang on to these places at are family run, & have been around for so long.We eat early so I don't know what to say about making a reservation but if I were you, I'd make one to be on the safe side. Thank you so much!
Another great dinning experience at Trattoria Trestevere. Had the carpaccio as an appetizer Phenomenal. & you can never go wrong with tortellini Gigi. Great atmosphere, Fantastic food as always. Thanks always to Mauro for making feel at home.

Having arrived in Montreal that day we wanted a good meal to start our holiday & that's exactly what we had. The waiters were very friendly & welcoming, explaining the dishes & answering questions. The food was delicious, & portions are very generous! Would be very happy to return if time allows.
We decided to make a reservation at this restaurant out of nowhere & we didn't expect nothing. Once you get inside you already feel like you're more than welcome. You feel like you're part of the family! They're simply the best. They're always looking out for you & make sure everything is more than perfect. The food is outstanding & delicious. We will be back soon & that's for sure! Everything about this place is outstanding! You need to go eat there to understand what I'm talking about. It was our first time & not the last time. Thank you for everything again ✨
