My family & I come to Trattoria Trestevere every time we're in Montreal. My kids love it, we love it, & we look forward to our visit every time. It is consistently delicious. Simple & authentic italian dishes. The food tastes like it came out of my Nonna's kitchen & the hospitality & warm welcome from Mauro & Joe only adds to the experience. 5 stars all around!!!

It is a sweet & quaint very home like vibe. Not a bunch of glitz & glam but it was an old school Italian restaurant, very approachable & has the best espresso martini I have had in years. The chicken parm & the shrimp in the garlic wine sauce was exceptional. I went the previous year to another Italian restaurant in Montréal with all that glitz & glam & the food was a flop. This food here exceeded my expectations. The restaurant was very cozy & romantic perfect for a date night.
We decided to make a reservation at this restaurant out of nowhere & we didn't expect nothing. Once you get inside you already feel like you're more than welcome. You feel like you're part of the family! They're simply the best. They're always looking out for you & make sure everything is more than perfect. The food is outstanding & delicious. We will be back soon & that's for sure! Everything about this place is outstanding! You need to go eat there to understand what I'm talking about. It was our first time & not the last time. Thank you for everything again ✨

Trattoria Trestevere is by far my favourite restaurant to go to for an exquisite Italian dinner. The service is outstanding & the food is immaculate. Lots of attention to detail & very friendly atmosphere.
As a solo dinner, I've never felt more comfortable than dining at Trattoria Testavere. This fine Italian restaurant is located in the heart of downtown Montreal on Crescent street down the block from Ste. Catherine. The atmosphere is welcoming & Mauro, the owner makes you feel at home as soon as you walk in the door. But most important is the food & service you get. The tortellini Gigi was the best I've ever had & the appetizers were phenomenal. No wonder this establishment has been around for over 50 years!!!
A wonderful night of food & wine. I'll definitely be back to try a few more dishes.

I asked ChatGPT to recommend an authentic Italian restaurant near our hotel in Montreal to take a client for dinner, & Trattoria Trestevere came up as the #1 suggestion. Let me just say-it more than lived up to that recommendation!
From the moment we arrived, everything was exceptional-the warm & welcoming atmosphere, the charming location, & above all, the world-class service & food. We were fortunate to be served by the owner himself, who graciously guided us through a lineup of unforgettable appetizers: calamari, zucchini fries, beef carpaccio, prosciutto with melon, & the most incredible mozzarella in carrozza covered in the most delicious tomato sauce....I noticed on the way out a sign that says you can buy the sauces to take home....if I lived in Montreal, I would be buying their sauce by the Liter! Each dish was perfectly prepared & full of authentic Italian flavor.
For our mains, we enjoyed a variety of dishes-from veal parmigiana, seafood linguine, & filet mignon with pasta, to lasagna, rigatoni, & the highlight for me: the homemade spinach & ricotta stuffed pasta (I believe it was called malfatti). Every single person at the table said it was the best Italian food they've ever had. We ended the night with a spread of decadent desserts-tiramisu, crème brûlée, ice cream, & fried gnocchi with Nutella (which was out of this world). We sipped the best cappuccino I've ever tasted & were treated to a round of limoncello by the owner to finish the evening.
This restaurant is a gem-authentic, warm, delicious, & truly unforgettable. It was the highlight of our time in Montreal, & we are already planning to come back. Thank you, Trattoria Trestevere, for a truly special evening. Bless you! 🙏🏻

My wife & I (both seniors) were looking for a great Italian food. We had veal parmigiana & a salad to share as our appetites are not large at our age. Well the reviews were a lot better than food. Pretty much ordinary except for the prices which were very high. You could do better!
My husband & I selected this restaurant for my 60th birthday. Our server Mauro made some excellent menu suggestions which we enjoyed immensely. We had carpaccio, Caesar salad & Saltinboca alla Romana with a nice bottle of Italian red wine. Wow the « home run » was the fried gnocchi dessert. Excellent food quality…all made with love. Mauro & his colleagues Aluaro & Tau were very friendly & engaging. They made the dining experience very special. We will be back. We had fun & it was an excellent place to celebrate my 60th.
Visited this restaurant with my wife before seeing cirque du soleil at the bell center. Give a 110% on this amazing restaurant. Staff amazing, food extremely delicious, ambiance was great just like Italian movies. Do recommend this restaurant to everyone in Montreal & Quebec.
Searched the internet for a good moderately priced Italian restaurant. We weren't interested in fancy with steaks etc. came across Trattoria. I read the reviews & was impressed. This restaurant sounded exactly like what we wanted. It didn't disappoint. The lasagna was excellent along with the spaghetti & meat sauce andTiramisu. The staff was friendly & very accommodating. I highly recommend this restaurant. You don't have to spend a lot of money to get excellent food.
Amazing! The owner & our waiter, Louis, were so great. My friends & I had an amazing meal here. Definitely go for a warm, welcoming environment & delicious Italian food!

The original recipe lasagne from 50 years ago was outstanding. Authentic Italian. Waiters were attentive, informative, friendly, without being intrusive. Highly recommend this place.
