Sweet little place , with beautiful decor & italian feel. Decent selection, fresh pasta & flavour. Short commings ordered wine & they brought out in a glass??? No taste first no presentation... For the price of eatablishment found this very off putting along with parm was not fresh grated infront just a bowl with a spoon. In all my time all my travels have Never had this & took the callebure of place down. Not a higher scale bight out date location but also not your family fun italian dinning vibe eather. Was decent meal, pricing okay. Just not sure where to catorgize them tbh.
The service was absolutely remarkable! From the booking to the service, it was top notch. They were extremely flexible when we had to change a reservation. Our server, Luis, was extremely attentive. The menu had a wide selection. Everything tasted fresh. We loved our food so much we actually got another lasagna to go so we could enjoy it another night! 100% would recommend.

Absolutely our favourite restaurant in Montreal, the service & food are superb, the food is fresh, homemade with complex & wonderfully rich flavours, We come here every time we are in Montreal & it is always an absolute pleasure from the moment we arrive to the time we leave. Avellino, Mauro & Tau make it an experience rather then just a dinner out, the attention paid during service is exceptional. I hope you have the opportunity to enjoy Trattoria Trestevere
Came with my parents & some friends, & it happened to be my parents' anniversary too. The food was all fresh & delicious, & the staff were delightful, cracking jokes & making sure our glasses were always full. We had tiramisu & creme brûlée for dessert, & they brought out some of the fried gnocchi for us to try as well. Didn't get any pictures because we ate it all too fast, but it was beautiful as well as tasty. Highly recommend!
The food here was only second best to their service. The wait staff was incredible, constantly keeping our water glasses full & refilling our carafe when necessary. I ordered the arrabbiata modified with spaghetti instead of penne, which was delicious & perfectly spicy. My friend had the bolognese. The portions were perfect & our plates were wiped clean with the fresh rolls provided. Wish we had time for the tiramisu, which looked delicious as it passed by!
This place has to be the absolute worst Italian food I've ever had in my life. I'm Italian so trust me. I know. Service was decent but it took 1 hour to get the pasta we ordered that probably came from a can. I ordered the caprese salad. What a joke! The mozzarella was similar to a no name pizza mozzarella you can get anywhere with a shelf life of 5 years. Special note to the chef. Caprese salad is made with fresh mozzarella, ripe tomatoes olive oil & basil. So simple but yet you messed it up. Try using Italian tomatoes for a tomato sauce & starting with extra virgin olive oil. It's a must to be considered Italian food. I can go on & on here. Save your money. Pizza pizza is more Italian
It was the first night of our spring break & they treated us so nicely. The service was amazing & we felt so welcomed! The snails were amazing & the homemade pasta was so fresh! Definitely would recommends to anyone looking for a fun experience. - UMASS Girls
If it's authentic, tasty Italian food you're after then Trattoria Trestevere, on Crescent Street in downtown Montreal, is worth checking out. The cozy interior has a distinct European vibe, a great start to your visit. My starter, a Mixed Salad, was fresh & simple. I followed that with an exceptional Chicken Parmigiana. The chicken was moist & breaded just right. The tomato sauce & mozzarella cheese were so tasty & fresh. The pasta too was fresh & cooked to perfection. For dessert I tried the Fried Gnocchi, dusted with icing sugar, on a thin bed of Hazelnut sauce. Delicious! My only caution was a surprising lack of attention to serving etiquette. Each of the three or four Staff that served us, while generally pleasant, reached directly in front of me on a few occasions. I would certainly return to try other items on the menu.
My wife & I just got back from dinner. We had an amazing experience. The owner & our waiter were extremely welcoming & friendly. We had a lot of laughs. Went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The atmosphere & music were great. Food was excellent including the tiramisu to finish. Great portions & obviously fresh ingredients. Highly recommend this restaurant.
