We came here for Mother's Day, & while the service was excellent, the overall dining experience didn't quite match the level of other top steakhouses in Montreal.
Our waiter was friendly & knowledgeable. He took the time to explain the different steak cuts & even plated the food for us when it arrived, which added a nice touch.
To start, we ordered the crab cake, lobster dumplings, Cesar salad & huîtres Rockefeller. The crab cake was unfortunately too salty, & while the other appetizers were fine, none were particularly memorable.
For mains, we had the 32 oz Kansas & 12 oz New York steaks. Both were fine but lacked the depth of flavor & tenderness you'd expect at this price point. The sides included sweet potatoes, lobster mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, & mushrooms. They were rich & comforting, but nothing stood out.
The sauces (réduction de veau au porto & béarnaise à la truffe) were flavorful but didn't elevate the steaks as much as we'd hoped.
Before dessert, our tablecloth had been stained with sauce from our plates, & the waiter kindly covered it with clean cloths, which was a thoughtful gesture. For dessert, we had the chocolate cake,'apple of my pie,' & the T360 cookie. They were good overall, though nothing we'd go back for. The chocolate cake, in particular, was disappointing. It was mushy & far from decadent.
The bill came to around $600, which felt steep for food that didn't quite deliver. It was a pleasant evening with attentive service, but the food didn't quite meet expectations for a special occasion.Voir plus
Great service & amazing food! Their Caesar salad is the best I've had, & the steak with pepper sauce was cooked to perfection. However, my experience was slightly affected by a reservation issue. Despite booking in advance, the hostess couldn't find my reservation in the system, which led to a 30-minute wait. In the end, she finally realized it had been there all along. Overall, a great spot for dining, but they could improve their reservation managementVoir plus
Disappointed! Was highly recommend & took the time to read the reviews!! We experienced the group menu & had the Lobster ravioli & filet mignon... Ravioli were hard & tasted like tomato sauce... As for the filet mignon, we had asked medium cook & it had a burned taste! Bottom line, very disappointed. For the price not sure we will return to experience the A la Carte. Ambiance relax. Service correct. Je comprends que ce restaurant ait un concept pas mal ordinaire mais personnellement ça fait partie des choses que j'ai le moins apprécié : tout ce qui est plat d'accompagnement & sauce n'est pas inclus dans le « terre » ou « mer », ce qui fait que la facture augmente assez rapidement. L'autre point négatif, c'est la moindre quantité des quartiers de patates douce. Je ne m'attendais absolument pas à n'en recevoir que 5-6 & sans parler du steak qui manquait d'assaisonnement à mon goût. J'ai dû ajouter du sel/poivre ainsi que de la sauce épicée (à côté), ce qui n'a pas changé grand chose malheureusement.Voir plus
