Alcohol-wise, the bar has various scotches, ports, Spanish wines, beers and cocktails. Happy hour always starts at 4pm but ends at different times depending on the day.
Exotic Surroundings Bar Taza Flores’ mismatched chairs, various paintings and exotic paraphernalia ranging from antiques to more modern and funky objects make you relax as soon as you enter. Montrealers, known for their love of terraces, can continue their love affair with the outdoors and sip a glass under the sun, weather permitting. Taza Flores offers a market fresh, seasonally driven menu built around sharing plates that showcase inventive flavor pairings and elegant presentations. The atmosphere blends casual warmth with a refined, intimate vibe and a welcoming staff described as friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The kitchen is praised for high quality ingredients, thoughtful technique and a genuinely authentic hospitality that makes guests feel at home. Several reviews note that the menu shifts with the seasons and that the wine list and recommended pairings enhance the experience. Since a change in ownership, opinions have diverged: some describe a high end feel with a strong emphasis on texture and freshness, while others feel portions are small or pricing steep for the amount served, and some report uneven service; some also observe a shift away from tapas toward smaller shared plates. Overall, it is highlighted as a standout spot for occasions or just a special night out, with many guests returning for consistently delicious dishes and memorable service. The place is repeatedly described as one of the best dining experiences in Montreal and a definite go to for food lovers.
Taza Flores is one of the best meals I've ever had in Montreal. The service is incredible, the staff is so kind & remember returning clients. I love that the menu is always changing to utilize local & seasonal ingredients. As such, each bite is both familiar yet so unique. Make sure to ask for wine recommendations as they have a great selection of wines that you won't find anywhere else. A must try!
Kind, professional & attentive service throughout. Excellent wine recommendations. Food was delicious & plated in an appetizing manner. Good portion size for sharing. Friendly upbeat place with good music. Thank you for the welcome & delightful few hours.
Easily the best tapas I've had in Montreal & it's not even close. The menu changes often based on seasonality but I had the calamari & tataki & a few other things & each things was better than the last. Even the bread is unbelievable. Really good wine selection too.
The food was divine, tasty & quite ample for'tapas'. We ordered two dishes each & it was plenty. The wine list was fascinating; the sommelier/owner was a great help to choosing a wine based on our meal. Tommy the waiter
was attentive & not overbearing. The food was priced well; the wine was very pricey & no less expensive choices... $16/glass ++ All said, well recommended.
A new favorite of mine in MTL. Has an intimate feel to it with an amazing selection of wine. Loved Eleazar, who helped us pick out dishes & accompanying wine. The crudo , octopus & ravioli were my absolute favorite. Can't wait to come back !!
We were served by Eli & Charles, & I have to say their service was impeccable.
Eli wasn't even working anymore, he was enjoying dinner with a friend but he made sure to take extra care of our table that walked in (unknowingly) close to closing. They both made sure we were taken care of at all times, recommending us the best champagne I've had in awhile, & multiple dishes for our group of four. They made sure to give us the history of the place, which really sets the mood. They both really knew their shit!
I am quite the foodie, having tried atleast a hundred restaurants in montreal & the food was divine, SO delicious.
We enjoyed the Japanese bread, obsessed. we ordered a second immediately, it better be there the next time I go. We had the beef tataki, SOOOOO GOOD!!!! the kitchen had closed but we literally would've ordered another, it was that good. I was sad i couldn't have more. We also had the grilled octopus, very good, aswell as the kale Caesar salad, & I HATE kale, but this was so delicious we were also going to order another one of these. We ordered some other things too but these were the three really worth mentioning. You need them.
Thank you both for your hospitality & wonderful food, as well as your local wines, we're sure to be back.

Overall, Taza Flores is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy a fantastic meal in a charming setting. We were told that the new owner/executive chef has made some wonderful changes since coming onboard five months ago. The cocktails were on point (recommend the Gimlet!) & the wine suggested by the waiter was fantastic. We chose to have the following which were all delicious : beet salad, hamachi, mozzarella, tortellini, strip loin for two, finishing off with a decadent baked Alaska. Waitstaff was friendly & super attentive! This is a great date night, friends catch up or after work drinks & dinner place. Definitely a favourite going forward!
I went last night with a friend for my birthday, it was our first time trying Taza Flores & we were so excited as we had heard about how amazing the food is. The food was excellent, however I am not sure if I have ever received worse service in my life. We were seated right away when we walked in & the restaurant was relatively empty at this point. 20 minutes later no one had come to see us. When we finally asked the bus girl if we could maybe order a drink our waiter finally came over. He then wanted us to order our food right away. We received our food not long after, & I must say it was all very very good. Our waiter never once came to see how we were doing, if we were enjoying our food, never poured any of the expensive wine that we ordered…we sat with our empty plates until we had to get up to find someone to ask for our bill. We were going to order dessert, but we couldn't find someone to even ask. For me service is a huge part of a dining experience. Although our meal was delicious, my friend & I left with a very irritated & disappointed feeling. Not sure if the food alone is enough to make me want to go back, which is unfortunate.
