Située au coin des rues Sainte-Catherine et Saint-Laurent, la taverne a vu plusieurs pages de l'histoire montréalaise défiler sous ses yeux. Stopped by here two nights, first on a Thursday then Saturday. Thursday was laidback with a decent amount of people & Saturday was busy but still chill. I think it's because people here are sitting either at the bar or tables conversing. It's not a bar where people stand & talk & walk around. I found that interesting as it makes for a different vibe. There's a variety of beers on draft & I tried one (Hop Valley) that was good. I drank a cocktail which was just the right amount of alcohol, not weak or strong. Its a pleasant & friendly place to relax with friends.Voir plus

A place that has been operating since 1927 (& we shamefully had no idea about) where we wandered one Friday night after a show nearby. A lively atmosphere complete with a pool table, wooden high tables, neon signs & a tiny hint of art deco as a nod to its roots. Our drinks were somewhat adequate. Good but nothing to write home about. The service we experienced on a busy night was very amicable & prompt.Voir plus
