The food was great & the servers were also great, but I still feel I need to give this restaurant a 1 star because of how I was treated by the manager.
I was there for a friend's birthday party (a reservation for 50+ people) & had asked the manager if there was another option for me meal-wise other than the $65 three course meal that everyone else was getting. I mentioned that the price was out of my budget but that I really wanted to be there for my friend. The manager asked me what my budget was. I explained that a $20 to $30 meal was more in my price range & I kid you not, she looked at me with pure judgement & rudely said that it was the $65 option or nothing.
I have never felt so insulted in my life. It's not about being able to or not being able to make an exception necessarily. I at least derserved to be spoken to with kindness & professionalism.

From the moment we arrived, the ambiance of Taormina Lounge set the perfect tone for the evening & the staff's warmth & professionalism made everything run smoothly. The entire team went above & beyond to ensure our event was a huge success.
Chef Paolo's exceptional Italian cuisine delighted all our guests, & the service throughout the evening was both attentive & friendly. It was obvious that everyone took pride in making the night special, & thanks to all of your efforts, we enjoyed an unforgettable experience with our guests.
We are truly grateful for Elena's patience & assistance throughout the planning process.
We would highly recommend Taormina Lounge to our family & friends for any special occasion.

I hosted a surprise birthday party at this wonderful restaurant during the holidays in 2025 & the entire experience exceeded every expectation. The food was absolutely delicious. Authentic Italian dishes full of flavour, beautifully prepared with generous portions.
What truly made the night unforgettable was the amazing staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, attentive, & accommodating. I want to give a special shout?out to Elena & the owner, Paolo, who went above & beyond to make us feel welcome & make our evening extra special. Elena was incredibly kind, friendly, & patient, offering thoughtful recommendations from the table d'hôte menu. She even managed to secure a DJ for us during the busiest time of the year-the Christmas holidays-which made the celebration even more memorable. Elena is truly a superstar & Paolo was equally incredible. The staff's warmth, professionalism, & genuine hospitality made the evening feel effortless.
Whether you're planning an event or simply looking for a great place to dine out, I highly recommend this restaurant. The atmosphere is inviting, the food is outstanding, & the staff is incredible. A hidden gem in Montreal & an absolute must?try, offering the perfect setting for any celebration or a night out.
Celebrated my birthday at this lovely resto & we had a delightful dinner. Food was delicious, rich & flavorful. The pasta, the calamari, the bruschetta, the bread. Oh the portion was generous too! The ambience was very welcoming. Elena & Pedro were very attentive, so very nice & friendly. It feels like home. We found a new favorite & definitely will come back again. We recently dined at Taormina restaurant on Tuesday (the 27th of May, my hubbys birthday). We had a wonderful experience on the terrace & enjoyed our drinks with a great view of the lake. The bruschetta was incredible & so was the vegetable soup & our main courses were very tasty & well presented. We will be going back.
We discovered Taormina Lounge 10 years ago when we were invited to a friends 40th birthday party. We fell in love with their upstairs party room & we chose to have our oldest daughters Sweet 16 there. The decor & food were outstanding & their dance floor set up was a huge hit. This weekend, 6 years later, we hosted our youngest daughters Sweet 16. Once again, the party was a huge success. We had to move it from last week after that huge snow storm. Elena & Paolo were so understanding & we were blessed that they accommodated us with every change that comes with rescheduling a big event. The food was excellent & the service from their staff was amazing. They do a fabulous job & their passion for their business is evident in every aspect of their operation. We highly recommend Taormina Lounge for all your special occasions or just a great spot to enjoy great food. ❤?
Taormina Lounge was the perfect venue for the milestone birthday celebration. Helena made the planning effortless, with outstanding food & impeccable 5-star service. We celebrated my birthday at Taormina with my family. We were a group of 14. Everyone had a good experience. The food & attention given, especially from the ower, Elena, was greatly appreciated. We are looking forward to our next visit.
We were there for a friend's birthday, a party of 18. It is his favorite restaurant, & he lives locally. The food was wonderful, I had the grilled octopus for an appetizer which was done to perfection. For the main course, I had the lamb chops which again were done to perfection. The service was great & staff was engaging. I can see why it is his favorite restaurant.
Excellent restaurant...food quality & service beyond reproach. Our party of 10 enjoyed another birthday celebration here. All were impressed with the food & friendly personalized service. I highly recommend for from a dinner for two to big celebrations...they're experts in accommodating large groups.
We had a 30+ reservation for our son's 30th birthday & had the space upstairs for us. Bar, music & really nice atmosphere for cocktail hour. Once seated, service was on point, staff friendly & professional, for a 30+ group, everyone was served their appetizers & meal at same time & hot. Food was very good! Shrimp, octopus & veal especially delicious. A very big thank you for a lovely evening.

I had dinner here last night for my friends birthday & I loved every minute of it. The staff is sooo nice & welcoming that I had to leave a review. There's just something about having a 10/10 service & an amazing meal. We ordered the taormina pizza, lasagna & the gigi vivaldi & I still can't get over how good it was. The pizza is a MUST try with their chilli oil!
I've been to this place many times & I've had amazing meals. Elena is the best. She knows how to take care of you & makes you feel welcomed. The staff is very attentive & affable. I've been around many restaurants in Montreal & this one stands out & is my go to Italian spot. Going there tonight for a belated birthday celebration.
