The food was great & the servers were also great, but I still feel I need to give this restaurant a 1 star because of how I was treated by the manager.
I was there for a friend's birthday party (a reservation for 50+ people) & had asked the manager if there was another option for me meal-wise other than the $65 three course meal that everyone else was getting. I mentioned that the price was out of my budget but that I really wanted to be there for my friend. The manager asked me what my budget was. I explained that a $20 to $30 meal was more in my price range & I kid you not, she looked at me with pure judgement & rudely said that it was the $65 option or nothing.
I have never felt so insulted in my life. It's not about being able to or not being able to make an exception necessarily. I at least derserved to be spoken to with kindness & professionalism.

From the moment we arrived, the ambiance of Taormina Lounge set the perfect tone for the evening & the staff's warmth & professionalism made everything run smoothly. The entire team went above & beyond to ensure our event was a huge success.
Chef Paolo's exceptional Italian cuisine delighted all our guests, & the service throughout the evening was both attentive & friendly. It was obvious that everyone took pride in making the night special, & thanks to all of your efforts, we enjoyed an unforgettable experience with our guests.
We are truly grateful for Elena's patience & assistance throughout the planning process.
We would highly recommend Taormina Lounge to our family & friends for any special occasion.

Service was very problematic, but maybe they just had an off night. I really think a lot of their problems could be solved by hiring a dedicated bartender though. It took them an unfathomable amount of time to take our order because whenever someone would ask for a drink they would leave midway through to make it. Everyone is very nice & means well, but they all just looked totally overwhelmed.
We were seated at 6:30 & didn't even get bread until an hour & a half later. First apps came more than 2 hours after seating.
The food was okay but also very expensive. The bread was really tasty though.
Edit: Based on their reply, the owners are petulant clowns. Can't accept that they actually just did a bad job.
We had my moms 65th surprise party here last night & our experience as a collective was very impressed. The service was outstanding as they seamlessly accomodated 22 people effortlessly. Everyone I spoke with from the party agreed that the food was outstanding, the tortellini GIGI was exceptional. A special shoutout to one of the owners Elena who took such good care of us from the beginning of planning the occasion all the way to the very end of the night where she made me one of her espresso martinis (which was as delicious as everything else). Taromina is a finely tuned well oiled machine & we will definitely be back again!
I visited Taormina Lounge for the fifth time with friends in the last months, & needed to write a review. I highly recommend this restaurant. The food is without exception delicious & beautifully presented. The menu is varied & interesting. I have had salads, fish, pizza & yesterday I had Eggplant Parmesan. It was not on the table d'hôte menu, but the waitress Helena asked & it was available. Yum! All meals were excellent. Service is friendly & professional but not rushed.The location is lakeside. In summer there is a small terrace for al fresco dining.
I've been to Taormina multiple times for dinner & they even hosted my engagement party here, & it never disappoints! The hospitality is unmatched, the food tastes incredible, & is always consistent! Great portions, great service , & fantastic overall experience. Can't wait to come back!
We just had a Baby Shower there today! The food was delicious & the service was beyond excellent - like usual! Thank you so much Elena, Pedro & all the kitchen staff! You made our event a memorable one! 🥰

I hosted a surprise birthday party at this wonderful restaurant during the holidays in 2025 & the entire experience exceeded every expectation. The food was absolutely delicious. Authentic Italian dishes full of flavour, beautifully prepared with generous portions.
What truly made the night unforgettable was the amazing staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, attentive, & accommodating. I want to give a special shout?out to Elena & the owner, Paolo, who went above & beyond to make us feel welcome & make our evening extra special. Elena was incredibly kind, friendly, & patient, offering thoughtful recommendations from the table d'hôte menu. She even managed to secure a DJ for us during the busiest time of the year-the Christmas holidays-which made the celebration even more memorable. Elena is truly a superstar & Paolo was equally incredible. The staff's warmth, professionalism, & genuine hospitality made the evening feel effortless.
Whether you're planning an event or simply looking for a great place to dine out, I highly recommend this restaurant. The atmosphere is inviting, the food is outstanding, & the staff is incredible. A hidden gem in Montreal & an absolute must?try, offering the perfect setting for any celebration or a night out.
Wow! My son kept on raving about this place & my husband & I finally made our way that I. Saturday. It was sooo great, food, drinks & service was amazing. Will definitely be coming back soon!
Had an amazing wedding reception party at Taormina lounge, team offered exceptional service, food was amazingly fresh & tasty! All guests were happy & full. Thanks also to DJ Stephane for making everyone dance & helping the guests with the cute photobooth. Will be returning for the best food in town!!
I was very impressed with this pretty spot right across from the water. The service was excellent & the food felt very high end & authentic. Also appreciated was the ample & easily accesible parking lot behind the restaurant. Highlights included the cheese Arancini - with the accompanying sauce a delicious stand-out. For main course the Tortellini Gigi with meat sauce was fantastic. I have high standards when it comes to food having enjoyed many meals at the finest restaurants in North America & Europe. Great location for romantic dates. Highly recommend this spot for food view & service you will not be dissapointed. 5 stars!
Nice place, clean & good service, parking could be challenging & pay parking on the curb is a Montréal travestie, exactly what we need to push patrons away
