Afficher toutsushi(91) all you can eat(26) price(23) quality(20) recommend(19) lunch(16) fresh(15) quick(10) choices(8) variety(8) buffet(8) dishes(8)This is my third time eating at Sushi Sainte Catherine, & this will forever be my go-to sushi restaurant in Montreal. If you want unlimited sushi, this place is perfect for you. The food always comes fresh, the choices are good, & the experience stays consistent every visit. Definitely one of my favorite spots in the city.
the service was abysmal & rude. we were sat without any instruction. we were given a physical drink menu & were waiting for a server.
after about 8 minutes, the floor manager asked us if we need anything, & I replied we were just waiting on a server or menu. He rudely replied in an overly condescending voice' uh, the menu is right there', pointing to a QR code on a piece of plastic.
I understand that a lot of the world has switched to QR codes, but we were given a physical drink menu & were given literally zero instruction when we were seated, so looking for a QR code wasn't my first thought.
It was the attitude that they gave me that really rubbed me the wrong way. I feel like a guest should be able to ask a fairly innocuous question without feeling like a moron. how hard is it to say'oh! we have a digital menu, please scan the QR code here for all our options!'
the food was ok. Some was better than others, but the cleanliness was questionable.
Not once wereweaaked how anything was or if we needed anything. They didnt bring us any wasabi & I didnt see an option to order any.
All around disappointing experience. There are like 30 other sushi places near by & almost all of them are a better option than this one
A wonderful'all-you-can-eat' sushi restaurant, & somewhere I always make a point of visiting whenever I visit Montréal. Centrally located; tables are bookable online (very wise on a Saturday lunch as it's very popular!).
Bilingual & very friendly staff, always easy to call to the table for questions, discuss allergies, etc. Discount for seniors. Fixed price all-you-can-eat in 2 hours. The menu is extensive, embracing sushi, teriyaki, Udon, Chinese; & soft drinks are included! The quality is absolutely excellent & served very quickly.
To order scan the QR on the table & order on your smart phone. The food comes within minutes.
Plusieurs fois j'ai voulu y aller & c'était toujours plein.
This review is for takeaway. We have ordered twice at Sushi Ste-Catherine. Overall, the quality of the sushis is decent. We ordered here due to the competitive price-point, but you really do get what you pay for. The rolls were pretty sloppily-made on both occasions. The salmon quality is just ok, not as fresh as it can be in the taste, quality & appearance. We likely will not return even for the competitive price-point.
It seems they intentionally take the time & bring chip stuff first one by one & make you waiting for sushi & rolls. Very slow. The quality is below any expectations. Look at the photo - this is how much salmon you get. Also, the host is unfriendly even a bit rude despite of the smile. We left. The most disappointing sushi experience in Montreal.
We waited 25-30 minutes for each dish, while guests who arrived later & ordered more were served faster. We asked for wasabi & ginger- the waitress promised to bring them, but never did. There were two of us, & each of us ordered from our phones, but then the manager Koden told me in a harsh tone that we'should have ordered from one phone, not several,' because'it makes their job harder,' even though this wasn't stated anywhere, & he treated me with condescension. The sushi itself was sloppy, with very little fish. When we asked why it didn't look like the picture, the waiter simply said,'The ingredients are the same, just different rolls.' One of our glasses arrived extremely sticky. No one warned us that payment was by credit card only, & they only told us this after we tried to pay, not even right before. At the end, when we were paying, we asked for the manager's name, & the waitress asked us to voice our complaints to her. When we refused, she began insisting & literally coaxing us to tell her, which made us feel very uncomfortable. After paying, the waitress also told me I forgot to leave a tip, which I find very inappropriate, especially after such service. However, I would like to say that they have delicious ice cream & unlimited drinks.
the food was alright but make sure you get mango sushi when its mango season or else it doesnt taste fresh
Surprisingly good. Food is served fast. The menu is just like most sushi in montreal.
This has been our go to spot if my family wants an AYCE lunch.
*Pax: 3
*Price: for 3 pax I usually pay around $105 including taxes & tips for lunch AYCE.
*Reservation: none - we never needed to make reservations for all of our lunch visits here.
*Date: We often go here, but the latest was January 11, 2026
*Service: lunch time
There is a wide variety of choices for lunch even though it is priced at around $26 including ice cream & drinks. You really get the most for your money.
Food: we love the sushies. There is a good proportion between the fillings & rice. Disclaimer though that we only eat cooked sushi because I have a very sensitive stomach. We also love tempuras, beef teriyaki, ramens etc. There's just too many options. The salmon teriyaki was really good too! We never had a bad experience with the food so it is definitely 5 stars.
Service: Staff were nice, quick & professional. Very few of them may not smile at all but I don't expect them too since they, like us gets tired so I am okay with it. Sometimes the service is not quick if there are a lot of customers which of course is understandable. 5 stars for the service.
Price: We always get our money's worth whenever we dine here especially for the lunch AYCE. There is just a lot of choices for everyone.
Atmosphere: It can get too crowded or feel like the space is cramped during lunch rush hence the 4 stars but still worth the price for us.
Female washroom: Clean! I always include this in my reviews because I think it is necessary. Their washroom is clean & without foul smell. I don't know about the men's washroom truly but my husband said it is'okay'.
Overall, I stand by 5 star across 2 aspects & 4 stars for atmosphere since it is what my family & I experienced for the last 3 recent visits (Dec 2025 & Jan 2026) we made to the restaurant. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants an AYCE sushi + asian food. Mind you that this is a less than $30 AYCE (lunch) so manage your expectations well. Also, in our group we always come in with all of us dining AYCE as it less complicates things.
Again this rating is based on 3 pax only. From what I understand, you can only use one phone - maybe 2 max when placing an order via your phone thru a qr code. So that maybe for a large group.
Highly recommended!
