sushi was lackluster in quality & flavor. waited 20-30 minutes in between orders & proceeded to receive only 70-80% of the sushi we had ordered. the waitstaff were incredibly slow & uninviting, yet the waiters continually spoke out loud about how their service was fantastic, & were audibly complaining about their lack of tips. some items simply did not arrive, others arrived nearly an hour after we ordered them, which seemed like a ploy to charge us extra for unfinished pieces. They only informed us as we were being handed the card reader that they infact ONLY take credit & cash (an absurd concept for a dine-in restaurant.) when we handed the server cash, with a fifteen percent tip included, she tried to argue multiple times that we had only tipped her 3$, when in reality we had tipped nearly 20$.
overall staff was incredibly inviting & food came out incredibly slow with little care for presentation or quality. we left feeling unsatisfied having spent above the going rate for AYCE sushi in montreal. i would suggest going to the manga bistro directly across the street. the fish was more abundant & of higher quality, not to mention the service was impeccable at manga bistro, with entire orders exiting the kitchen less than 5 minutes after ordering. please consider these warnings before deciding to dine at sushi sainte catherine.

The management constantly walks around & stands over the customers. I understand it may be intended to provide better service, but it creates unnecessary stress & makes it difficult to relax.

The food quality was good, but the dishes were served separately & with long delays, which was very disappointing.

The servers also kept dropping utensils & other items on the floor throughout the meal.

Overall, it was a disappointing experience, & I don't plan to return.

I had one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had here. The service was extremely slow, & the sushi came out in such small portions that it felt like we were barely eating. To make matters worse, we found pieces of plastic in our sushi twice. The staff replaced the sushi the second time, but the replacement was even worse than the original.

Overall, the food quality, service, & the way the situation was handled were very disappointing. This was by far the worst experience I've had at a sushi restaurant, & I definitely will not be coming back.

I hadn't been in an all you can eat in a while due to bariatric operation & went with a friend. The quality is pretty good, but AYCE nowadays feels overpriced. The staff didn't really seem inviting or interested. But all in all okay meal. The sashimi portions were generous & thick, which was a plus for me.

Unfortunately, despite the very good changes they made to their appearance, the quality of their sushi was very poor. All their sushi was topped with breadcrumbs along with the rice, which makes the sushi bigger & makes you feel full quickly, thus completely ruining the taste of the sushi. It was my worst sushi experience.

Please go somewhere else for sushi. They roll way too much rice into the maki roles, the fish itself is not good quality, & overall not worth $50 per person. Service was even worse. At the end of the meal, I didn't feel the quality or service was deserving of a tip after several mix ups & mid food. But after I paid, the waitress with glasses called me out in front of the whole table'reminding' me tip wasn't included in the total & basically forced me to tip. Worst Montreal dining experience by far. Wish we'd walked out as soon as we sat down.

A wonderful'all-you-can-eat' sushi restaurant, & somewhere I always make a point of visiting whenever I visit Montréal. Centrally located; tables are bookable online (very wise on a Saturday lunch as it's very popular!).

Bilingual & very friendly staff, always easy to call to the table for questions, discuss allergies, etc. Discount for seniors. Fixed price all-you-can-eat in 2 hours. The menu is extensive, embracing sushi, teriyaki, Udon, Chinese; & soft drinks are included! The quality is absolutely excellent & served very quickly.

To order scan the QR on the table & order on your smart phone. The food comes within minutes.

The food quality has been lowered a lot, I went there after 1 year, & got disappointed! They bring the last part of order (a la carte) too late en perpose so the appetite would completely gone & you have to eat reluctantly/ don't recommend specifically with important companies for you

This review is for takeaway. We have ordered twice at Sushi Ste-Catherine. Overall, the quality of the sushis is decent. We ordered here due to the competitive price-point, but you really do get what you pay for. The rolls were pretty sloppily-made on both occasions. The salmon quality is just ok, not as fresh as it can be in the taste, quality & appearance. We likely will not return even for the competitive price-point.
