Sushi Momo provides a sophisticated exploration of plant-based Japanese cuisine by utilizing innovative techniques to craft intricate rolls and appetizers. Each menu item emphasizes the vibrant textures and deep flavors found in fresh vegetables, fruits, and sea-inspired plant proteins. The kitchen avoids animal products entirely, focusing instead on creative combinations like tempura-fried ingredients, savory glazes, and artistic presentations. Diners find a diverse selection of signature maki rolls that challenge traditional expectations while maintaining the core essence of sushi artistry. The atmosphere remains centered on the meticulous preparation of colorful, nutrient-dense dishes that highlight seasonal produce. This establishment represents a definitive destination for those seeking a strictly vegan approach to the delicate craft of sushi making through refined, modern culinary methods.
Sushi Momo offers an exceptional and creative plant-based dining experience that consistently impresses both vegans and meat-eaters alike with its flavorful, beautifully presented, and innovative menu. Guests frequently praise the restaurant for its warm, cozy ambiance and professional, knowledgeable service, often highlighting the omakase tasting menu as a standout way to explore the diverse and complex flavors of the kitchen. While the overwhelming majority of experiences are described as delicious and memorable, the restaurant remains a highly recommended destination in Montreal, with many patrons eager to return for the unique and high-quality sushi that frequently exceeds expectations.
I'm speechless. It was one of the most unique restaurants I have been to in a long time. The sushi was aesthetically beautiful & so flavorful. So much creativity to make it 100% vegan. Highly recommend this place!

Disappointing experience. I developed a terrible stomachache after eating here. The sushi relies heavily on an overwhelming amount of sauce to make up for a lack of actual flavor, & the menu features ridiculous, overly fried, gimmicky pieces. I truly do not understand how this place has such high ratings. I can only assume the positive reviews are solely because the restaurant is vegan, because otherwise, this was the worst sushi I have ever had.
Have been here three times. The vegan food ranges from the divine to the dubious. The best sushis are those that aren't trying to imitate fish or meat. Those that do miss in a bad way--thinking notably of the salmon with caviar, which was rather unpleasantly gelatinous, or the beef with asparagus that tasted like an old sock instead of beef. Anything with eggplant or mushrooms, fruits or herbs is exceptionally good, though--very, very yummy. Cocktails are nice. Service is annoying as they'll kick you out after two hours. But of course they only do because people let them. Some of the waitresses are great. Some act snooty.
The food was great, the portion was plenty. We went with the degustatiom menu & this was fantastic. Great service, delicious food, awesome ambiance for an awesome date night.
Dinner at Sushi Momo was incredible. There was so much on the menu, so to focus our choices we did the Omakase. The Omakase included a nice variety of options & our waitress gracefully presented every dish with an abundance of information. The food was delicious & featured so many interesting & complex flavors. It was one of the best sushi experiences that I've ever had. The service was great & the ambiance was romantic. I really enjoyed myself.
