With 10 years of experience, chef Christian Manuel Ventura Alatorre opened Sushi Momo in December 2014, and has been getting much praise from day one. Sushi Momo by Christian Ventura was such an amazing experience! We went without a reservation, but the staff was incredibly accommodating after we mentioned we were visiting from Ottawa. That hospitality really set the tone for the evening.
It was actually our first time trying sushi ever, & we were blown away by how flavourful everything was. The food was creative, fresh, & absolutely delicious. We tried the miso soup, SOS sushi, Japanese arancini, & the Green Machine roll - every single dish was packed with flavor & beautifully presented.
Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu & took the time to explain the dishes, which made the experience even better for first-timers like us.
Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience. Definitely worth visiting, especially for vegan & vegetarian lovers. We will absolutely be coming back next time we're in Montreal!
I visited Momo a few years ago with my partner & had an amazing experience-the food, presentation, service, & atmosphere were all top-notch. So, when I had the chance to order from them again while caring for my brother post-surgery, I was excited. Unfortunately, the delivery experience didn't match up to my previous visit.
We ordered the combo, which included miso soup, edamame, & their popular rolls. The edamame was greasy, & the sushi flavors were overly strong & muddled. We both felt like it was'sushi for people who don't like sushi'. While I respect the creativity of the vegan menu, & can understand it will not taste like traditional sushi, the flavors were too heavy, & the sauce was very salty & overpowered the ingredients. Sushi should be simple, & let individual ingredients shine- but this missed the mark. Unfortunately we both felt a bit off the next day.
I still want to love this place & would consider visiting again in person if I'm in Montreal, & maybe trying some different & paired back menu items. But overall, tasting the food away from the dining ambience was a letdown.

Only complaint is the mochi for the mochi ice cream was really bad. No flavor, terrible texture, no need to order. Dinner & service was wonderful though!
We have been here a handful of times now & each time our experience has been wonderful ! The food is amazing - so full of flavor & of course all vegan ! The servers really know their stuff & the service has always been great. Its cozy but often busy so make sure to reserve a spot in advance !
First off, this place serves vegan sushi. I went here for my birthday dinner & you really need a reservation. We ordered the omakase, which comes with your choice of appetizers/dessert & the chef's choice of sushi. It's a cozy little place & everything was absolutely delicious.
Don't expect those small makis with just cucumber or avocado, these are rolls full of different ingredients that mixes texture & flavor that taste so good together. They also made a vegan version of salmon made of konjac & I really enjoyed that too. The service is impeccable & the atmosphere is super lovely. & if you've eaten at other sushi places, the price is pretty reasonable for the quality. Highly recommended.
Absolutely loved this place! We tried their tasting menu, & the experience was truly delightful with generous portion sizes. The sushi was fresh, flavorful, & beautifully presented. The dessert Chocomomo was a standout - delicious & melted in our mouths. A fantastic experience overall. Will surely revisit.

The restaurant decor is really beautiful & the ambiance is nice. The food is good & there are a lot of different flavors, but I feel like sometimes the flavors lack harmony. It's still really good & I would visit again.
Amazing & magical place. The food texture, richness of flavors & look... Everything is indistinguishable from a really high quality sushi restaurant. All that without eating another being, & enjoying all the experience. I just highly recommend it. I went twice already & plan on going again.
This is not your REGULAR sushi place, this is your vegan/vegetarian sushi place that will blow your mind away! The Kamikaze, golden truffle, avocado crispy rice, & emzeleta or enzelate (can't remember the name lol) with halloumi tempura inside of it is absolutely mind blowing. They don't have pop which is amazing but they do have various mocktails & various flavored kombucha, I tried the apple ginger,lavender & raspberry kombucha & all were perfect. The atmosphere was beautiful (looks like a resto in Tulum) & the service was amazing , the staff were extremly knowledgable regarding their menu. Will definitely return!
We had the Omasake, 4-course prix fix menu & it was absolutely amazing. You know when the food is that good because all you're doing at the table is talking about the food. This truly was the best sushi I have ever had, it is so flavorful, perfect texture. The vibe is cozy & all the servers & host are so warm & extremely helpful & knowledgeable. This may be a regular stop when I come visit Montréal. Thank you everyone for such an amazing time.

Momo sushi is not sushi, it's creative vegan food that comes in the shape of rolls. Some items on the menu are really good, others go a bit overboard in terms of the combination of flavors & textures.
One of the best restaurants in Montreal, I've been coming to this place since 2019. This vegetarian spot offers flavors that are rich & abundant. The dishes don't try to mimic meat, instead they stand out with subtle, sophisticated tastes that deliver a true symphony for your palate. François is genuinely kind & attentive! On our last visit, we were kindly offered a free appetizer for a longer wait, which was a thoughtful touch.
I recently dined at this fantastic vegan sushi restaurant & was thoroughly impressed by the culinary delights on offer. The meal began with a comforting bowl of Miso Soup, rich in flavor & perfectly seasoned. The Soba Mango Salad was a refreshing blend of textures & flavors, combining the crispness of fresh vegetables with the sweetness of mango & the satisfying chew of soba noodles. The highlight of the meal was the Assorted Vegan Sushi, beautifully presented & delicious, showcasing an innovative approach to plant-based cuisine.
