J'ai commandé pour emporter, donc je ne peux évaluer que la cuisine.
Malheureusement, je n'ai pas apprécié ce que j'ai commandé. L'onigiri chaud goûtait beaucoup trop l'oignon & ne faisait pas très traditionnel. Le saumon était gris & manquait de saveur. La soupe miso avait un goût très industriel. Les gyozas étaient également assez fades, même si la sauce était bonne.
Les prix sont compétitifs, mais j'aurais volontiers payé un peu plus pour une meilleure qualité.
Disappointing experience. I developed a terrible stomachache after eating here. The sushi relies heavily on an overwhelming amount of sauce to make up for a lack of actual flavor, & the menu features ridiculous, overly fried, gimmicky pieces. I truly do not understand how this place has such high ratings. I can only assume the positive reviews are solely because the restaurant is vegan, because otherwise, this was the worst sushi I have ever had.
Used to be much more flavorful & generous with their'condiments'. $100 order & got 2 little soy sauces & a drop of wasabi that was smeared on plastic. Not acceptable!

Amazing! The variety of flavors throughout the menu is incredible. Creating vegan sushis made the chef develop an impressive imagination, using a wide range of sauces & unusual ingredients. These sushis are a lot tastier than fish could ever be. Highly recommended! Make sure to book in advance!

sushis, ça finit par être extrêmement gras & j'ai eu beaucoup de difficulté à digérer toute la nuit. On a adoré les entrées par contre mais franchement on ne reviendra pas. Très bon service par le dynamique & super sympathique Lou. Un resto avec une belle ambiance calme & un décor magnifique. Pour le reste on préfère les sushis de poisson & fruits de mer 🍣 alors on ira dans un sushis bar.
Food is very good. Most people would have difficulty noticing the salmon isn't real fish if they weren't told. Prices are reasonable. Sauces are all very good (a bit on the sweeter side). Server was attentive & explained the dishes very well. Only downside is some dishes took a while to come out. Would definitely come back.
I used to love this place.
We took omakase dinner specials, it was pretty disappointing.
First, there were too many recurrence of the same yuzus sour sweet soy sauce.
I know this sauce is signature of sushi momo. But literally every menu has that sauce so it makes all dishes are kinda boring & taste the same.
I think it's time to invent new different sauce that can give different harmony with the signature sauce.
Vegan sushi was great as usual but fried one was has too many rice & soggy, not crispy.
Since I loved this place, hope this restaurant keeps improving & be loved by people for long time
Simply put, Momo Restaurant is exceptional. From the inviting ambiance to the attentive staff & devilishly divine food, every detail impressed. A special spotlight must go to our table host, Jasmin, whose knowledge of the menu was outstanding. Every recommendation he made was a hit-& we happily ordered them all.
I also have several food sensitivities, including garlic, nuts, seaweed, & carrots, which can make dining out challenging. Jasmin handled this with true white-glove service. Sauces were thoughtfully served on the side, & ingredients were carefully adjusted to accommodate my needs without compromising the experience.
This level of care turned a great meal into a truly cherished memory. I will be back again & again. Thank you, Momo Restaurant, & thank you, Jasmin. With sincere thanks, Juliana
I visited Momo a few years ago with my partner & had an amazing experience-the food, presentation, service, & atmosphere were all top-notch. So, when I had the chance to order from them again while caring for my brother post-surgery, I was excited. Unfortunately, the delivery experience didn't match up to my previous visit.
We ordered the combo, which included miso soup, edamame, & their popular rolls. The edamame was greasy, & the sushi flavors were overly strong & muddled. We both felt like it was'sushi for people who don't like sushi'. While I respect the creativity of the vegan menu, & can understand it will not taste like traditional sushi, the flavors were too heavy, & the sauce was very salty & overpowered the ingredients. Sushi should be simple, & let individual ingredients shine- but this missed the mark. Unfortunately we both felt a bit off the next day.
I still want to love this place & would consider visiting again in person if I'm in Montreal, & maybe trying some different & paired back menu items. But overall, tasting the food away from the dining ambience was a letdown.
