Offering a refreshing, contemporary, and all-vegan Japanese cuisine, Sushi Momo is a sophisticated twist from traditional Japanese sushi. With 10 years of experience, chef Christian Manuel Ventura Alatorre opened Sushi Momo in December 2014, and has been getting much praise from day one. Christian's creations are both enjoyable and extremely creative. Christian wanted to give Montrealers the most options for vegan sushi in the entire city.

Visited the dine in location today with my wife May 2024 & it was amazing. We are here on a trip from Hamilton, ON. We are vegetarian & this was hands down the best vegetarian sushi we have both ever eaten. The only thing that comes close is Tenon in downtown Toronto which is amazing this this is at another level when it comes to creativity, flavours & presentation. Overall this was an expert display of textures. I thought that every dish was a delicate combination of crunch, soft along with mixtures of umami, sweet, salty & spicy. For appetizers we got the Japanese Arancini which was hot crunchy & loved the sauces. Next for Futomaki we got the Chou-Chou (top row with yellow coating). We loved the tempura cauliflower inside. The middle row coated in avocado was the big momo which was my favourite - highly recommend. The bottom row was the GYU maki tempura which was also amazing. On the left edge was the Aubergine Falmbée (flamed eggplant) crispy rice - this one was amazing & the flammed eggplant created unique flavour that we never tasted before & was amazing. On the right edge was the avocat & ail noir (Avacado & Black garlic); my only comment would that this one tasted like a guacamole topping & perhaps next time I would try one of the other Cripsy rice Overall I thought it was amazing & was worth the price. I will be coming back here if I ever visit Montreal again & will be bringing friends & family here in the future. Service was great too considering we were English speakers. My only other comment would be that an English menu would be helpful as I kept having to enter the a picture onto Google translate.View more

Nice place over all ,nice music in the back ground & not too loud that you can't have a conversation,the staff was nice & welcoming,they did loose our confirmation & could not find our names in the system yet we called to book but other than that this Vegan sushi is probably the most best I town ,it was delicious i totally recommend & definitely coming back .View more

All vegan sushi! The quality is very good but it comes with a price. I took the omakase which came with miso soup, pork dumplings (vegan), 12 sushi pieces & dessert. I don't recommend the omakase because the sushi rolls were very good but everything else was ok. So instead of paying 50$ for the set, I'd get 50$ worth of sushi. The reason I didn't go with the rolls from the start was because I didn't know what was what (The lighting was very dim & the menu letters were worn out). I would have liked a menu explanation because it's not your typical sushi. The service was really slow it took forever to get our order. I forgot to take a picture of the dumplings because I was too hungry & there 24 pieces (they combined 2 orders). Overall impressed of the vegan sushi!View more

Always incredible! I think I was surprised because, I might be wrong, but it seems like the menu got smaller since last time? But still as delicious as ever. My favorites are the truffle maki & was so pleased with the Big Momo & little Bombay one too! I feel like you can never go wrong with sushi Momo, they have managed to make me like vegetables I absolutely hate, truly incredible! I'm a huge fan of sushis & am pretty demanding when it comes to them, but I cant recommend this restaurant enough. Only B- was that the arancinis weren't nearly as good as last time I went NView more

One of the best Vegan sushi restaurants in canada. Consistent in their flavours, textures & taste. Been coming here every trip to Montreal past few years & found the good quality the same. Exceptional service & good ambiance Never have I seen such innovative flavours in vegan/ vegetarian sushi. Great combos & interesting options. Always spoilt for choosing what to order. Amazing experience! The food was delicious, fairly priced, & looked amazing. Service was wonderful, very helpful. Would recommend to anyone who wants good sushi. Pour une fille allergique aux fruits de mer, j'ai vraiment apprécié ma première expérience sushis sécuritaire. Les textures, les saveurs, les surprises dans la bouche... Ce n'est pas ma première visite à ce restaurant. Les sushis sont toujours aussi bons, la présentation est parfaite. Ceci étant dit, Samedi soir dernier, nous avions réservé notre place comme à l'habitude. Le serveur, un nouveau depuis 3 semaines, nous a demandé à 2 reprises de partir car supposément que notre table était réservée pour d'autres clients. Or, il n'y avait personne qui attendait. Je partageais une belle expérience culinaire avec mon fils de 31 ans & mon fils de 16 ans. Nous étions calme & franchement le fait de me faire montrer la porte de façon aussi cavalière m'a déplu , d'autant plus que personne n'attendait . Un magnifique restaurant, petite salle pour une ambiance très chaleureuse. La nourriture est excellente, les meilleurs sushis que je n'ai jamais mangé de ma vie (même en n'étant pas végétarienne). Je me suis fiée sur les bons reviews, mais j'aurais dû plutôt me fier sur les mauvais... Sushis qui roulent dans la bouche. Mélange de saveurs douteux. Textures gélatineuses. Le concept est bon & innovatif, mais ce qui est ingéré peut être discutable. Le seul truc mangeable était l'entrée Arranchini. Par contre, le service était A1. Très rapide. Staff courtois. Will always be one of my favourite restaurants in Montreal. Unique, bursting with flavour, so well balanced. I hesitate to even call this vegan sushi because as a non vegan myself there's alot of misconceptions & bias when people hear that. This is not supposed to taste or mimic sushi. It's its own creation & is genius. Deserving of a Michelin star for sure. 10/10View more

Manque de fraîcheur, saveur... l'entrée de tartare de champignons était bonne jusqu'à ce qu'ils changent les champignons pour des champignons pas chers.... La qualité des produits est de pire en pire. Dommage... Magnifique restaurant, petit & chaleureux qui revisite la cuisine japonaise à la sauce vegan. & pas besoin d'être vegan pour trouver ça juste excellent, fin & réconfortant. On était 5 personnes alors on a partagé plusieurs menus dégustation pour tester le plus de plats entre nous. Coup de coeur pour les délicieux sushis, le shooter de champignons & la tarte choco, miso, fraises & matcha 😍 J'ai aussi pris un cocktail sans alcool aux saveurs provençales qui était très bon. La décoration est soignée & moderne & le serveur était très gentil. Il a fait très attention à mon amie allergique au gluten, c'était très apprécié. Ils nous ont même offerts des edamames en fin de soirée pour ne pas les gaspiller. J'ajoute ce beau restaurant à mes préférés pour les occasions spéciales en amoureux ou entre amis.View more
