About us
Casa Galicia has been a staple of Spanish cuisine in Montreal since 1977. Founded by Laurentino Oliveira and still proudly family-run, the tradition continues today with Jorge Oliveira and David Oliveira at the helm.
Recognized as one of the best Spanish restaurants in North America, Casa Galicia specializes in authentic Galician cuisine, offering classic dishes like paella, zarzuela, and a variety of regional specialties. Guests can pair their meals with a refreshing pitcher of sangria considered among the best in Montreal, or explore the restaurant’s unique wine cellar, featuring reserve wines from Spain’s most prestigious winemaking regions.

Wow! The food is absolutely incredible. My boyfriend & I had the Valencia Discovery Menu & every dish was so good. The sangria was also top notch. We ate outside & the ambiance was wonderful. You can still hear the great music but you're able to still have great conversations. The real star of the show was the service. Our waiter Firo so absolutely the highlight. Everything was prompt, we were checked on the appropriate amount of times & he engaged us in lively & fun conversation- I'd go back just for him! Overall, given it's convenient location in the Latin Quarter, amazing food & exceptional service I would recommend Casa Galicia to just about anyone!View more

Having a meal at Casa Galicia felt like being transported to Spain. The restaurant is very charming, & it's clear how much hard work has been put into every detail to make the experience as immersive as possible. The food was excellent, but what stood out to me the most was the service & hospitality that Firo & Ley showed. You can truly see the passion they have for making each customer's experience unique & memorable. I will definitely come back-the name of the restaurant truly speaks for itself. I have to say, having been to Spain, our passage at the Casa Galicia was by far the closest Spanish experience we can get here in Montreal.
Everything was on point : The food, the ambiance, cleanliness & especially Firo & ley who served us with so much heart.

Quelle belle découverte ! Nous avons adoré notre expérience au Casa Galicia. La nourriture était incroyable - le poulpe grillé était tendre & savoureux, la paella aux fruits de mer bien garnie & pleine de goût, & les crevettes à l'ail tout simplement délicieuses.
& la sangria… wow ! C'est sans doute la meilleure qu'on ait jamais goûtée - fraîche, fruitée, parfaitement équilibrée.
Le service était exceptionnel. Notre serveur, qui était aussi le propriétaire (je pense qu'il s'appelait David), a été chaleureux, attentionné & vraiment passionné. Il a pris le temps de jaser avec nous & de s'assurer qu'on avait tout ce qu'il nous fallait.
On recommande ce restaurant les yeux fermés. Une vraie perle pour ceux qui aiment la cuisine espagnole & le bon vin dans une ambiance authentique & accueillanteView more

Went there with a group of 20 for a birthday, the ambiance was very nice & the flamenco show was fantastic.
The waiter was awesome, courteous & funny. The staff as a whole was very kind.
The food was phenomenal, we ordered paella, filet mignon, chicken, & everyone loved it. The paellas were so packed with flavour & safran.

Simplement l'afficher sur le menu au minimum &/ou assurez-vous de dire a la clientele quelle sera facturé ou donner le choix de boire de l'eau''normal''.

The food was weird! It's mostly a seafood place, so may be people who are into seafood like it. I got the garlic chicken, & I do not recommend it unless you're into fishy tastes! The service was slow but still considerate! The server kept checking on us to see if we needed anything so I'm giving 2 stars! The prices are exorbitantly high for the kind of food!View more
