Please spare yourself from such bad mannered staff! All you can eat but that's if you have 5 hours to spare…… was there for almost 2 hours & barely tried 3 dishes . When I complained of the delay they offered to charge for 2 people instead of 3, when the bill came they claimed they changed their mind. Would not recommend, plenty of other better places around.

Honestly, this was a very disappointing experience. The service was extremely poor - we waited over 30 minutes for our food with no apology or explanation at all.
When the food finally arrived, it didn't taste good & definitely wasn't worth the wait.
The staff seemed untrained & confused, & everything felt very disorganized. Even the way the food was served was chaotic, with dishes being placed randomly on the table.
We also tried to speak with the manager, but unfortunately, they didn't handle the situation well or offer any solution.
Overall, a very bad experience, & we won't be coming back.

We visited this restaurant as a group of 11 people, & unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing from start to finish. While we understand that large groups can be challenging, the level of service we received was far below expectations.

From the beginning, the staff seemed unprepared & disorganized. It took a long time to prepare our orders, & there was confusion with multiple dishes-some meals were forgotten entirely, while others were brought out incorrectly. The timing was also an issue, as people at the table were served at very different moments, making it difficult to enjoy the meal together.

Communication with the staff was frustrating. It was hard to get their attention, & when we did, our concerns didn't seem to be handled with much urgency or care. Simple requests took far too long, & there was little follow-up to ensure everything was satisfactory.

Overall, the poor coordination & lack of attentiveness made what should have been an enjoyable group outing quite unpleasant. I would not recommend this restaurant for large groups based on this experience.

Beef Tataki was one of my favorite. They changed it to a worst one. The meat of Lamb Skewers isn't good anymore. Had higher expectations for the'one per order dishes', but that failed me too. The other usuals are acceptable?

*EDIT REVIEW 2026*

''All Good things come to an end''
I have to update my review to give it a big fat 1 star. If I could give it negative stars, I would.

What I experienced & ate yesterday was not what I had back when I made my review. The service was non existent, missing orders, lack of details to the dishes & attempts at replicating flavors...

The'Wasabi mussels' did not taste like wasabi & more like pesto mussels. I have reasons to believe management/ownership was changed & the new owners took a quick look at the pictures & tried to replicate the recipes. The'Beef Tataki' had a similar spice blend to the first time I went but lacked the shallots to give it flavors. We could not even tell the difference between the beef & tuna tataki (see pictures)

What I had was not'Sushi Hin' but a TEMU version of it.

This is going to be our last time here. Good bye

One of the best sushi AYCE I've been in a while. The service, quality & choices of food is unmatched against other competitors in the area & in montreal. There is AYCE tuna sashimi!! WOW

The food was delicious, & all dishes were served on time, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the service significantly detracted from the experience. The manager was unprofessional & attempted to overcharge us for items we did not order. When this mistake was brought to their attention, the subsequent interactions were handled poorly. Additionally, we were overcharged due to an incorrect assumption about a child's age. Rather than taking responsibility, the manager placed the blame on us for not correcting the error, despite it being their responsibility to confirm such details. This approach made us feel unfairly blamed & uncomfortable, which should not occur during a dining experience especially when the error was not ours.

This used to be my favorite restaurant for all-you-can-eat sushi. Unfortunately, on my last two visits, the quality has declined. I went back Saturday night. I have to say that, for the second time in a row, the sushi was disappointing. The maki were poorly rolled & kept falling apart. They use way too much rice. You can tell sushi is pre-rolled when the tempura isn't crisp anymore. To be sure, I ordered a handroll, which can't be made in advance. My handroll was fresh. The nori seaweed was crispy, & so was the tempura, but there was really too much rice. One of the reasons I always go back to this restaurant is for the kitchen dishes. Yesterday, I was disappointed with the quality of the food. The service is very fast, admittedly, but I prefer to wait a bit & be served hot. Some of our fried dishes were cold, like the fried scallops, takoyaki, & tempura. My favorite dish at Hin is the lamb skewers. Yesterday, they used too much seasoning, & the second portion I ordered underneath was burnt. I usually come on weekends. I find it's better during the week, perhaps because they're less busy & take the time to prepare orders properly. Overall, the service is always good. The servers always make sure our water glasses are refilled & consistently clear our plates. Hopefully they will improve the quality of the food back.

I went in excited to try this new restaurant & ordered three dishes plus a wonton soup from the all-you-can-eat menu. When the food arrived, I was honestly surprised by how large the portions were. There is **nothing on the menu indicating that the portions are meant for two people**, so I called the waiter to ask if smaller portions could be made upon request. I explained that it was a lot of food & I might not be able to finish everything. His response was simply, *'Try your best.'*

I ordered the pad thai, salt & pepper chicken, & orange beef. After eating about half of the food, I started feeling nauseous. I then informed the waiter that I am **pregnant** & could no longer eat. Since the meal was **$29** & I was not planning on ordering more food, I asked if I could take the remaining food home so it wouldn't go to waste. He told me it would cost an additional **$6**.

I explained again that I understood their policy, but given my situation, I couldn't continue eating & didn't want to waste food. He then told me that whether I left leftovers or took them to go, I would still be charged extra. Feeling pressured, I forced myself to finish all the meat & left about 25% of the noodles.

When the waiter returned, I expressed my dissatisfaction & acknowledged that I was aware of their policy, but felt this should have been treated as an exception. I was very direct & told him I would not be tipping due to the service, & that it was the worst service I've experienced.

Before leaving, I spoke to the lady at the counter & explained the entire situation. Her response was simply, *'We have a policy,'* with no empathy or willingness to understand the circumstances.

Honestly, this was **the worst dining experience I've had**. I'm giving **2 stars only because the food itself was good**, but customer service & basic compassion were completely lacking. Management really needs to learn how to accommodate & empathize with their customers-especially in situations like this.

I hit up Sushi Hin on Blvd St Jean in Montreal on New Year's Day & it was LITERAL FOODGOODNESS 🍣🔥! The buffet was INSANE - like, I saw EVERYTHING I love in one place. Fresh sushi, crazy rolls, hot dishes... mind blown 🤯. Service was on point too. If you're in MTL, GET. THERE. 😋 10/10 would stuff myself again.

One of the Best Sushi in Montreal for sure! The owner is so nice he even treated us to a free beer for me & my wife. :)
