A real hidden gem! Our new sushi place for sure! Loved the amazing decor & atmosphere! The service was phenomenal. Friendly & attentive! The staff work really well together. They hardly miss a beat. & we took a spicy margarita which we highly recommend. We judge restaurants by the quality of their cocktails & they unknowingly met the challenge. Also, the sushi was delicious. The Crab maki roll was my personal favourite out of 4 maki rolls. Looking forward to trying some different ones next time. Ryan was our fantastic server. First time weary traveler from Nunavut. I thought we had fresh caught ocean fishes but I was dead wrong. Ordered the Chef's Sashimi Specials (12) Pieces Combo. Everything melted in my mouth. So sweet. So succulents. Presentation was like Miss Universe Pageant. & of course the Sapporo beer was good too. ❤?🍣❤?🍣❤?
Déçu….. c'était ma deuxième expérience & ce soir malheureusement, ce n'était pas à la hauteur de la première fois il y a 1 an.
Le service était froid & tendu. J'ai demandé les coup de coeur, les essentiels comme sushi & pas de chaleur, pas d'amabilité, pas de conseil & pas de sourire La première fois nous y avons eu du plaisir & le service avait été super. Pas cette fois.
Les sushis étaient bon sans plus….
C'est désolant car j'avais adoré.

It's hard to believe it's already been over two years since we first discovered this place! Not once have we ever been disappointed.
Finding truly fresh & high-quality sushi in Montreal can be quite challenging, so we were pleasantly surprised when we found this hidden gem. I'm originally from Korea, & I honestly didn't expect sushi here to be this fresh & delicious. It reminded us so much of the amazing sushi we used to enjoy back home ! maybe even more special in its own way. My sister will be coming to Canada soon on a working holiday, & I can't wait to bring her here. I know she'll love it just as much as we do!
This time, my husband & I visited to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, & everything was absolutely perfect. The staff & the head chef were incredibly kind & thoughtful 💕🎀 thank you so much for celebrating this special day with us! You made it an unforgettable & heartwarming experience.
The food was, as always, exceptional, but what truly made the night so memorable was the kindness & warmth of the chef & the servers. They created such a welcoming & happy atmosphere that made everything taste even better. 💕

I've been to many restaurants over the years, but my evening at Hidden Fish was truly something special. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was calm, elegant, & welcoming. For a Sunday night, we were actually surprised to see how busy it was & now we understand why! The food was exceptional, everything was fresh, beautifully presented, & bursting with flavor. You could tell real care & passion went into every dish.
But what made the night unforgettable was Rudy, our waiter. He was, without a doubt, the best server I've had in years. He had the perfect balance of professionalism & humor, attentive without hovering, friendly without being over the top. His personality truly made our dinner memorable; we laughed, we relaxed, & we felt genuinely taken care of.
It's rare these days to find service that feels so personal & genuine. The rest of the staff was also wonderful, polite, efficient, & clearly proud to work in such a great place.
Hidden Fish has become one of my new favorite spots. The food, the atmosphere, & Rudy's incredible service made for a night I'll be talking about for a long time. My husband & I can't wait to go back!
I had heard about this place from a friend & it was fully booked unfortunately. I did manage to come on a Sunday for dinner. It was still fairly busy, only 2 tables available.
I have to say I don't have any idea how they have such a high review. This is likely the most overhyped & overpriced sushi I've had.
The opposite of what I would call a luxury dining experience.
The first thing I'll say is the decor actually is quite nice. & the hostess was super friendly & kind & seated us quick. There was a more spacious table available & without us asking she came & asked if we wanted to change to a bigger table. We did. That's more or less where the better part of the experience ended.
Despite it being Sunday & not super busy when we went as nobody was seated after us, we didn't see the waiter for about 20 minutes. The manager who was standing about 3 meters away & watching didn't notice we hadn't been served water or asked for our drink order.
Eventually I did flag down a waiter & asked him if I could order. He said he would take out drink order but the food had to be with our server. I ordered a bottle of sake & asked him to flag our waiter for us. After 10 more minutes no one came & no drink so I flagged down another waiter to get ours. We again ordered a bottle of sake as the first hadn't been put in & some appetizers & sushi & rolls.
When I asked him to repeat our food order he had missed a roll. So I told him again. 15 mins later some food came out but still no drinks. So I flagged him down again & he asked me to repeat which drinks we wanted then said there was an error in the system & they would bring it out ASAP. As we had ordered a fair bit of food they put our sake bottle on ice away from the table, which at first seemed like a good idea, however our waiter never came back to refill our sake. From our MIA bottle. So we eventually finished the food & then I literally got up & moved our own sake bottle to the table. Waiter was quite surprised at the end when I asked for the bill & the bottle was empty as he even said he didn't remember pouring us the sake; which he didn't.
As for the food, the sashimi was okay, but overpriced & nothing to write home about. The rolls were a bit too salty for the most part, even without any soya sauce.
The exceptions: unagi house specialty roll was great & probably our favorite. The roll topped with crab was also quite good. But everything else was pretty below par.
Scallop roll with truffle was so mild in flavour I didn't even know there was truffle on it. The hamachi signature roll was a bit salty which kind of mafe it a bit overpowering.
At the end again was a struggle to get service for dessert so we just got our bill.
Definitely can't recommend this place & wouldn't go back. Again no clue how it seems to be highly rated or reviewed.
I have sushi weekly & there's way better sushi & value & just couldn't recommend hidden fish despite the hype.

Upscale with a plethora of affordable options. Served by Matt who recommended the bluefin tuna nigiri with caviar on it- & it was a wonderful suggestion! Great food, great time.

Finally found a sushi place with great ambiance. The sushi & sashimi were fresh, high quality with great flavors. It's a nice spot that I'd definitely go back to.
Limited cocktail list & ridiculously highly priced… e.g Very soso Old fashion for 26$…
Sushi rolls are very good but prices are just insane… 40-70$ per rolls… the Waguy roll at 65$ may have maximum 20g of Wagyu in it…
Not a repeat for me.
