Stopped by this restaurant from a friend's recommendation & this place did not disappoint. I thought the restaurant ambiance looked spot on & had a smokey bbq theme. Ordered a pound of sliced smoked meat & made some sandwiches. The amount given was generous & exceeded the pound. Needless to say the meat tasted very very good. A must visit.
Always a good time going to Pete's & seeing live music. Food is awesome just a little pricy now for what it is. That's the only thing I could eat out at a fancy restaurant for the same price as Pete's. I suggest buying the family combo meal that way you can make the sandwiches at home for a bit of a better price.

Smoke Meat Pete is hands down the best smoked meat in Québec. The sandwiches are packed, flavorful, & incredibly tender. Portions are generous & the quality is always top notch. They also have live bands on select days, which adds a great vibe to the experience. A must-visit for anyone who loves authentic Montréal-style smoked meat.
It's mid. The atmosphere is the best thing, the food is known for the famous smoke meat. You get a good portion of meat when you order. 3 people 2 sandwiches 1 combo 3 drinks. Cost $75 bucks. Kinda pricy. Location is very close to the airport.
We had a run in with other local tourists that promoted rudeness & shellfishness. That killed this review. The staff serving me was also a bit tough to deal with & not very friendly with English/french people.
Came across this gem while on the way to the east. We got poutine & smoked meat sandwiches & they did not disappoint. The smoked meat was tender & flavourful & packed. Absolutely enjoyed every bite & will definitely be back.
Great food, delicious but it is so expensive. Smoked meat sandwiches are to die for, the size is too small for the price. Yes you get alot of smoked meat, but the portion is small for the price. Doors going in are confusing but follow your nose. Menu is intricate for only english speaking tourists but the lady helping with the orders is helpful & friendly.
Thank goodness Pete is back & we can enjoy our sandwiches & ribs again. Always enjoy a great sandwich but the four stars are for really tight to get a seat have more tables than usual but he probably did that for get more of us in again. Please take one or two tables away we had to have people enjoying their food stop eating to get to the middle part. My second is for the sandwiches being too lean. We don't ask for lean but it's what I & my friends keep getting. Maybe we need a code word. lol. Oh & for the review of the meal, check the pictures, worth two thousand words. Best smoked meat & fries but 30 minutes lineup to order then 45 minutes to get my 2 sandwiches... Wayyyyyyyyy too long. A lot of people turned around after seeing this.
Delicious smoked meat sandwiches, had a live band playing which was alittle too loud for our taste, but other people were really enjoying themselves. The owner came out to give our kids a free ice cream, very nice touch

We've always made it a point to stop here on our way to Quebec - the atmosphere is lively with a biker bar-old fashioned feel. We have always enjoyed the smoked meat sandwiches but have found the poutine to be quite salty. On our most recent trip, we were surprised by the cost - it was $65 for one jumbo sandwich & one regular (no sides), a large poutine & 2 sodas. Definitely worth the visit but maybe just for the sandwiches!
I love smoked meat & Pete's makes some of the best you can get! I haven't tried their other menu items, but have never been let down by the smoked meat sandwiches. I also enjoy the vibe & music they've made part of the experience. My one BIG complaint is the system they have for ordering & getting your food. For some reason, you have to wait in line to order at the counter, pay, & THEN hope you can find a table. That's a tall order as this place is often busy. This means you often have to stand in line for quite a while before ordering, instead of just comfortably sitting at a table & have someone come to take your order LIKE EVERY OTHER RESTAURANT ON EARTH! So you stand in line (why?) & after ordering & paying there is no guarantee that you'll even find a table to sit at. Then, with music blaring, the wait staff wanders around the restaurant holding your plates, yelling your name hoping you might hear & waive them down. I find this really takes away from the overall experience. Just do it like every other restaurant. It works.
Best smoked meat around no question there. Little pricey for sandwiches & the lineup can be daunting depending on when you go. Overall a must-visit venue.
