Stopped here on a drive into Montreal & the smoked meat did not disappoint. We ordered Pete's special & smoked meat poutine & both were excellent. The meat was flavorful & super tender. The menu & ordering process can be a bit confusing for a first-timer (order at the window, find a table, & the staff will bring out your food), but the staff was helpful & friendly. Would return in a heartbeat.
J'y vais au moins 2 fois par an.
Ce soir avec Lil Buba, le blues était excellent.
Mon smoked meat jumbo etait tres bon avec sa salade de choux.
Commande facile & efficace au comptoir par l'employée.
C'est arrivé rapidement a la table.
Belle ambiance de blues.
Le prix est correct en prenant compte du spectacle inclus.

Authentic restaurant with friendly service, interesting rustic decor, great live blues music, & amazing food. I tried the ribs plate, which was excellent & came with delicious appetizers like liver & sausages. I also had the smoked meat platter, & it was the best smoked meat I've ever tried. A great discovery! Portions are huge too. I always end up taking leftovers home & getting another meal out of it the next day.

70$ pour deux poutines au smoked meat avec une des deux poutines extra-fromage. Tout le menu est très (trop) cher. La nourriture est bonne, on ne peut pas leur enlever ça. Mais les prix, ça ne fait aucun sens! En plus, les quantités laissent à désirer. À 70$ pour deux poutines, je me serais au moins attendu à des assiettes pleines.
The atmosphere would have been great if I could hear my partner speak. It was a Tuesday lunch time. Twice we asked to have the music turned down. Twice the waitresses indicated that their boss did not allow them to do so. One of the girls turned it down a little anyway & the boss came back in & turned it up. This is a message for the boss'read the crowd'. There were maybe 15 people having lunch, most were over 60 & were there to have lunch & discuss. No one wants to yell at their partner while having lunch. I would also note that we were NOT the only table that complained. There were 3 of us & another table of 4 wanted the music turned down. That's almost 50% of patrons….. get the drift?
To the kind blonde woman working at the cash; thank you for making the evening feel so special. My pregnant fiancé absolutely loved the steak meal & the boys & I had a great time drinking beer listening to blues & eating smoke meat ! I hadn't been back in many years & was welcomed with kindness. Again thank you so much for, it meant a lot !
Every local know this is the best smoked meat in Montreal 🔥 the staff is the sweetest & the vibe is 10/10, the food is delicious (my mom loved the liver & she doesn't even like that stuff usually haha)
