First time here, from out of country. Recommended by a local friend, & I truly loved it. It was described as the best smoked meat, & it lived up to the expectation. Amazing smoked meat; good flavor, good texture, moist & tasty. Incredible ambience. Only down was I did not come on a night of live music which I saw the stage for. I really must come back to enjoy that, & especially get more smoked meat. I also enjoyed the poutine.

You can't beat Pete's meat! Stopped by on New Year's Eve for a quick smoked meat sandwich before hitting the road, & it did not disappoint.
The place had tons of Christmas decorations up, which made for a really cozy vibe. The atmosphere is always fun with live blues on stage, & the staff & owner were so friendly the owner even invited us to their NYE party (so sweet!).
Ordering is simple: you head to the counter, pay, & then grab a wooden table. I went for the smoked meat with fries, pickle, & coleslaw yummm absolutely delicious. If you like it lean, it's a couple bucks more, but I personally love it the classic way.
They even bring a little starter of hot dog, liver, bread, coleslaw, & butter. & I finally tried the ribs this time - wow! Super tender, sweet, & packed with flavor. Highly recommend them.
Definitely worth the stop if you're in the area.

Je suis arrivé avec un faim hors du commun, j'ai rarement aussi faim & je repars en roulant, je n'ai même pas fini mon assiette donc le'grand plat de viande fumée' est vraiment un GRAND plat la viande est tendre & grasse a souhait s'était parfait. De plus je suis souvent dessus par les frites mais ici je les ai trouver super! Alors je recommande certainement & j'y retournerai n'importe quand!
Je vous recommande le spécial de Pete. Cette assiette comprend le smoked meat, 2 pickles, salade de chou, frites & breuvage. Possibilité de demander sa viande maigre, medium ou medium-gras. Les côtes levées sont incroyables. Elles fondent dans la bouche. Le gâteau au fromage pèse au moins 1 lb. Il est consistant & super bon.
Been going here for years & its always been a top spot in my heart for their smoke meat. Their is a couple a amazing spot for smoke meat in Montréal but I would have to say this is close to or if not the best in my opinion in Montréal. Highly recommend trying once & if you can try to go when they have a LIVE MUSIC. 👌🤌

Une viande excellente qui fond dans la bouche & des frites croustillantes, nous nous sommes régalés.
Il s'agit d'une place avec une vraie identité & une ambiance familiale.
L'endroit est quelque peu petit mais ça ne joue pas sur l'expérience. Live band un peu bruyant par contre mais très sympa quand même! Je recommande vivement.

One of the best smoked meat spots. No reservations needed, however it's almost always full. Service is great, whether you speak French or English. Live band performances sometimes. I recommend the ribs, just get the entire rack, it's really good.
The vibes was perfect!! The band was amazing, the food was faster than we could get a seat?! What more could you ask for 😆 definitely recommend going here & get the fries!! If you love potatoes you'll fall in love with them🥰
We tried the smoked meat sandwich, steak with fries, & the ribs sampler. The sandwich was packed with flavor & perfectly tender, while the steak was juicy & well-seasoned. The ribs sampler featured rich, smoky boneless ribs that were incredibly flavorful. Overall, it was a fantastic experience-highly recommended!
très accueillant quand tu entre & tu attend en ligne te font goûter à leur ribs qui es vraiment bon quand on te sert à la caisse la madame très souriante & super gentille elle a vue j était enceinte ma donner une liqueur a moi & mon fils & ma dit assie toi juste la sa sera pas très long pour ta commande & même pas 2min après on m'a servie sans parler du smoke meat vraiment le meilleur j ai manger de ma vie je vous le recommande juste wowwww
Stopped on my way back coz there was classic cars gathering! I am glad I did! A 30 years old smoke meat resto as they say! The best I had since I came to canada! Very busy! Not that cheap but totally worth it, I even bought meat to take home! For sure I am coming back! Highly recommended!
Un des meilleurs sinon le meilleur smoke meat de la région. Sans parler de leur côte levée, ils sont simplement divines. Je recommande les yeux fermer c'est super bon!!
