Delicious smoked meat in a very interesting dining area.

I had the smoked meat poutine & it was excellent.

We arrived after 1:00, & it was packed. Be prepared to wait, but it is worth it.

We visited Smoke Meat Pete based on a recommendation from a friend, & it definitely lived up to the hype.
It's located about 30 minutes west of the airport.

The restaurant has an old-school feel, but it doesn't feel run-down or neglected. You order your food at the counter, then find a table & they bring the food out to you.

We ordered the smoked meat poutine, half rack, & smoked meat sandwiches.
They also gave us some liver & sausage to try, & both were delicious. The smoked liver in particular was fantastic-the smoky flavor was incredible.

There was also a live band playing, so it's not the place to go if you're looking for a quiet meal, but it gives the restaurant a really lively & fun atmosphere.

If I come back to Montreal, I'd definitely visit again. Highly recommended!

Smoke meat is good, delicious & plenty. There was a band playing blues music, they were great. The blonde lady behind the counter(not sure if she is an owner or manager) was so friendly. Smoke Meat Pete is a great place to stop for Smoke meat sandwiches & poutine. Also has Smoke meat in spaghetti.

J'ai découvert ce viande fumé restaurant dans les commentaires d'un billet de voyage sur une ville étrangère, alors nous nous sommes arrêtés ici sur le chemin du retour après la cueillette des fraises. L'ambiance du restaurant est très originale. La poutine au viand
fumé & les spaghettis sont excellents, mais les ailes de poulet m'ont laissé indifférent. On a offert des crème glacée gratuites aux enfants, tout le monde était ravi.

Good food, but they have been increasing the prices more & more. 2 specials & a poutine for $77. It's fast food not sushi. Expect to pay $30+ per person.

Stopped here on a drive into Montreal & the smoked meat did not disappoint. We ordered Pete's special & smoked meat poutine & both were excellent. The meat was flavorful & super tender. The menu & ordering process can be a bit confusing for a first-timer (order at the window, find a table, & the staff will bring out your food), but the staff was helpful & friendly. Would return in a heartbeat.
