Sadly Pete's is going downhill. Been a regular since he opened on Grand BLVD. Over 20$ including tax for 1 small sandwich & a 20 minute wait on a Monday that wasn't busy. Staff don't care & I guess Pete no longer does as well, just collecting $$

Smoked Meat was fine - a bit too fatty... but the fries were inedible. They were overcooked, hard as rock. Next time they go back to the kitchen! It's too bad because when Pete's fries are'on' they are among the best!
Returned in 2026: prices are outrageous & food portions so small!!
So disappointing.

Went here with my girlfriend & unfortunately we were pretty disappointed.

I got the smoked meat sandwich & it was alright, nothing amazing but not bad. My girlfriend doesn't like smoked meat so she ordered the hamburger, & it was terrible. The bun was almost twice the size of the actual burger patty. The meat was completely bland & honestly tasted like water with no seasoning at all.

The worst part was that the burger wasn't even properly cooked & was still red in the middle. She took one bite & couldn't eat the rest, so we ended up throwing it out.

For a restaurant serving burgers, I definitely expected much better.

Surcharge pour viande maigre de 4,25$ par sandwich, non indiqué nul part & non mentionné à la prise de commande. Je leurs ai fait mention qu'ils devraient le dire, mais cela n'a pas semblé être important. Assez dispendieux au final.

Smoke meat is good, delicious & plenty. There was a band playing blues music, they were great. The blonde lady behind the counter(not sure if she is an owner or manager) was so friendly. Smoke Meat Pete is a great place to stop for Smoke meat sandwiches & poutine. Also has Smoke meat in spaghetti.

This place was recommended to us from a neighbour & on our way home from Montreal, we stopped in at 1030hrs & had the sandwiches. It was absolutely melt in your mouth delicious & peppery, which just took it over the top for us. If you have time, sit in & have your meal - the decor is pretty interesting. We will definitely stop in again on our adventures to Montreal.
