Ambiance familiale. Le propriétaire chante & joue de la guitare sur un stage avec un band. Repas environ $20-$30 par personne. Il fait quand même un peu froid, alors la nourriture refroidi assez rapidement. Si vous aimez écouter un band en mangeant, c'est très bien. Faut juste manger vite, ou froid.
I can't begin to explain how much we enjoyed the food, atmosphere, good cheer. I'm a fussy eater, & I like to eat quietly. But when a good friend offered to treat me to Smoke Meat Pete, I had no idea, & the videos & pix show the wonderful experience. Too bad the crowds left before the music ended. We had a 90 minute drive home, so we couldn't stay, but I hope to come back during old car cruise in come spring! Thank you Pete!!!
This place is such a vibe! Drove in from Toronto & was greeted by the lovely Cherie, delicious ribs samples 🔥 Great atmosphere, yummy comfort food, & bonus, the band! The lead guitarist/vocalist was next level, accompanied by an engaging, fun band. Put it on your Montreal places to see.

Hands down the best smoked meat in Montreal !! Great ambience with love music too ! This is a must visit when I have friends or family from out of town
No one no one can beat smoke meat Pete. I went with my son for his first time To eat at the best restaurant in the world, He was so impressed, & now he wants to eat there more often, to put the icing on the cake, Pete walks by & sees my son, Hey little guy, how about a good ice cream cone, I have chocolate, he was very happy. One of the best smoked meats you'll ever have served with the best fries...possibly on earth! (Author doesn't know what he's talking about, has not tried all fries on earth, but these are particularly phenomenal)
I love smoked meat & Pete's makes some of the best you can get! I haven't tried their other menu items, but have never been let down by the smoked meat sandwiches. I also enjoy the vibe & music they've made part of the experience. My one BIG complaint is the system they have for ordering & getting your food. For some reason, you have to wait in line to order at the counter, pay, & THEN hope you can find a table. That's a tall order as this place is often busy. This means you often have to stand in line for quite a while before ordering, instead of just comfortably sitting at a table & have someone come to take your order LIKE EVERY OTHER RESTAURANT ON EARTH! So you stand in line (why?) & after ordering & paying there is no guarantee that you'll even find a table to sit at. Then, with music blaring, the wait staff wanders around the restaurant holding your plates, yelling your name hoping you might hear & waive them down. I find this really takes away from the overall experience. Just do it like every other restaurant. It works.
