We've always made it a point to stop here on our way to Quebec - the atmosphere is lively with a biker bar-old fashioned feel. We have always enjoyed the smoked meat sandwiches but have found the poutine to be quite salty. On our most recent trip, we were surprised by the cost - it was $65 for one jumbo sandwich & one regular (no sides), a large poutine & 2 sodas. Definitely worth the visit but maybe just for the sandwiches!View more

Delicious! (& fast if you come before the lunch rush) Service was okay for what it was- you have to order at the counter before you sit down. But the lady who brought us our food was rolling her eyes at us (not in a fun joking way) for not knowing that, which was unnecessary. Atmosphere was fun, I bet it's a hoot when a live band is there. Little cramped, & while there is a ramp I wouldn't consider it accessible.View more

I think of Pete's smoked meat like a biker hangout without the ruckess of the bikers. The food is good quality, the atmosphere is loud with either blues or rock music being pumped through a concert audio system. It's gained its notoriety from being consistent. It hasn't changed (apart from more seating) in 10 yearsView more
