Some background: I eat pizza multiple times per week, & have done this across the USA & Canada, & have had multiple pizza places saved on my google maps for Montreal Pizza… & this place, absolutely tops it! Quick service, top quality product, & completely satisfied. Inside they have a little community pizza table & a rustic authentic vibe. Love it. Will only Pizza here for ever more. Slice + Soda is an absolute gem & easily serves the best pizza slice I've had in a long time. From the moment you walk in, the vibe of the place draws you in - it's small, cozy, & full of character. What makes it even better is the open kitchen concept. Watching the staff handcraft the pizzas right in front of you adds a level of authenticity & excitement to the experience.

On my first trip to Montreal, I ended up walking about 12.5 kilometers through the city, exploring & taking photos-so by the time I spotted Slice + Soda, I had definitely worked up an appetite. I originally wandered in thinking they served poutine (because, let's be real, poutine & pizza sounds like a dream combo), but once I realized they didn't, I stuck around anyway. The cool vibe inside & the sight of a grinning customer walking out with three oversized boxes of pizza was all the convincing I needed.
The staff were friendly, bilingual, & super efficient. Service was fast, & I was able to grab a spot just in time before a line started forming. Seating is very limited-just a few stools lining the wall & one communal table that could fit maybe 4-6 people, so timing your visit definitely helps.
The interior is visually fun, with movie stills of iconic characters eating pizza plastered along the walls, & the whole place has this stylish, street-food-meets-film-nerd charm. I ordered a pepperoni slice that was literally bigger than my head, a soda, & some waffle-style fries that were crispy, seasoned, & way better than I expected.
There was a ton of construction outside, so the pedestrian traffic was pretty filtered & narrow-otherwise I imagine the place would've been absolutely packed.
Sure, pizza might not be top of the list for most tourists visiting Montreal, but if you're after a quick, cheap, & genuinely tasty lunch, Slice + Soda checks all the boxes. I'd absolutely go back.

An amazing spot! Despite being very busy, the staff works quickly & remains incredibly friendly. The pizza was fantastic. The only downside is finding a seat during rush hour, but otherwise, wishing them all the best & hoping they keep this place thriving!
If you are walking around the area is a good place to grab & go. Pizza is good but not the best. The staff is friendly & the place has a few high seats & 8 chairs on a big square table. They open late & you can swing by & eat quickly. Brooklyn style pizza, sodas. Nice decoration.

Slice & Soda has some of the best pizza around! The slices are huge, delicious, & always fresh, & the soda selection is fun & unique. The staff is friendly, & service is quick, making it perfect for a casual meal. If you're craving quality pizza without breaking the bank, Slice & Soda is a must-try!
This place was across the street from our boutique hotel in Montreal, so we stopped in for a quick lunch. We each got a slice & I got one of their sodas. The slices are HUGE! We are from a city in the US known for having good pizza, so we are always slightly skeptical of pizza places when traveling, but it was so good. Thin crust, sweeter sauce, good flavor. It was the perfect place to stop for a filling lunch before walking around the city. Not a ton of seating, but we grabbed one by the window & were able to people watch while we ate.
Stopped here for a quick bite with my kids - they loved the pizza & the general vibe of the place. Service was quick & the pizza was good! Thin crust pizza here - a whole pie is ridiculously large, so if you're getting at least 5 slices, just get for the whole thing & get leftovers. Would come back again - so good!
