Wow! Amazing food! Beautiful presentation! Excellent service! We got the mixed spreads, jaz maz & the mixed fruit pancakes! Food exceeded all expectations & the flavour experience was phenomenal!

If you are vegan you might like this place but if, like us, you are the friends of a vegan person who suggested this place for dinner, & if you're used to traditional Syrian food with real meat & real flavours, you will find the food unappealing & a bit gross. No amount of'fake chicken' made with soy or mushroom can replace the taste & texture of real shish taouk. Otherwise the restaurant is ok, service is friendly if not a bit pushy at times (they will push you to order specific items on the menu that are on the pricy side, & they will push you to leave a review before leaving). It's also on the expensive side & not great value for your money (Middle Eastern food is typically known for its generous portions).
The brunch was delicious, & our server was very nice & friendly! My only complaint would be the portion size for the price charged. My friend & I were still a bit hungry after the omelette, so we split the chocolate banana pancakes as a dessert (good size portion). Then we were stuffed for the day!
Could be better to have 2 omelettes on a plate (since legumes aren't super calorie-dense) or salad that takes up 1/2 the plate instead of a 1/4, & then have a separate bowl for tater totes (which were also delicious).
LOVE the flavours - just wish it was more affordable so I could visit regularly :)
Also super grateful you're open for brunch till 4 PM on weekdays. The music was fun too!
The food was incredible. The dips were awesome. The vegan kebab was epic. I've never had a tastier vegan kebab that had so much flavour & texture. All of the food here was delicious. You will be happy if you do here.
Wow what an incredible restaurant! The food was fabulous! No beyond beef fake meat. All soy/mushroom/jack fruit based. Amazing flavours. I wish this was in Vancouver!
Unbelievable flavours, everything was fresh & well presented. I came here to try the Labneh, something I miss since giving up dairy & this vegan version did not disappoint. My non vegan hubby loved the savoury pancake at brunch. Highly recommend Sham.
This is some of the best vegetarian food that we've eaten in Montreal, the food is really flavourful!
We had the falafel with mint hummus & muhammara for appetisers. For mains, we had the Mousaka. For drinks we had called for Tamarin, which just blew our minds!
Really very lovely. Falafal plate was so delicious, not dry & had an abundance of flavour. Jalah juice I think it was called was the nicest juice over ever had. A very happy tourist visit, gutted there's nothing like it where I live
Overpriced, barely any flavour. The kofte dish we tasted only tomatoes & tomato paste. The mixed grills, the skewers are tiny & barely any additions in the plate. The service was slow even though only a few people were there. Not impressed at all.

amazing experience, sure to satisfy or accommodate everyone! I had the turmeric chicken flavour grill plate which was delicious, the cheese rolls were also incredible. Plus, they are super kind & warm!

By far the best vegan restaurant in Montreal! My boyfriend & I have tried many vegan restaurants over the years but none compare to sham! First of all the service is great, the employees are super sweet & cater to all your needs & questions. The food is incredible. So flavourful, fresh & good portions! We have come for supper & breakfast & we will for sure be coming back time & time again! My favourite thing to order is the lemon mint juice it is so fresh & delicious! The egg burger has a tasty sauce inside that gives a wonderful flavour to the mushrooms & onions, & the white sauce that is served on the side of the tots is so creamy! The pancakes are nice & crunchy on the outside & fluffy in the middle. The omelette tastes just like real egg but is very light! The shami kebabs are definitely something you need to try, such amazing flavour. All in all 10/10 across the board!
I can't even begin to explain to you how delicious the food is at Sham Vegan. I have tried their food 4 times now & it gets better & better each time. The falafel is the best I have ever tasted. The garlic sauce - just buy a jar - it is DELICIOUS. Absolutely amazing, healthy vegan food - & I am not a vegan! Who needs meat when you have the flavours of Sham Vegan.
Welcome to my new favourite restaurant in MTL. This vegan-family run place makes delicious, flavourful & beautiful middle Eastern food. My lovely friend & I celebrated her birthday weekend at this place. The owners & staff are just as amazing & friendly. Please give this cruelty-free fine establishment the attention they deserve when in MTL.
We had a fabulous experience at this restaurant & will definitely be back. I'm interested to try their brunch as well. The decor is lovely/homey, food generous portions & very flavourful, a bit pricey but so are even not so good restaurants these days so this really felt worth it & we can home with leftovers. It's a huge menu so next time we will be able to try new dishes & know that it's not necessary to order so much! The lovely pot of mint tea really added to the meal. Only thing I wasn't so crazy about was the cheesecake which tasted like butter. Will try a different dessert next time. Big enough to share three ways.
