This restaurant deserves a ratings that is above 5. To take a meat-based cuisine of Syria & Lebanon & turn it into 100% vegan one with all famous'meat' dishes veganized..now that is skill. Everything was super tasty, the'kebab', the'chicken', the'shawrma', the'shish tawook' etc...all were amazing & of course traditionally vegetarian dishes were also wonderful like falafel & Fatoosh salad.
The owner Khal & server Halima were super friendly, attentive & very hospitable.
The ambiance is nice & warm.
It is a heaven for a vegan / vegetarian & highly recommended 👌 😊 😋😋😋
They have an amazing variety of vegan food, which is great because there are so many delicious options to choose from. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious, & the portions are very generous for the price. The atmosphere is warm & welcoming, it really feels like home. Sham truly impressed me! ⭐ Their menu is excellent - a must-try for all lovers of oriental cuisine 🌙. What makes it stand out is that it's entirely vegan. 🌱 It's quite rare to find Middle Eastern dishes made accessible for those who don't eat meat, & Sham truly masters it. The flavors were exceptional, with a beautiful balance of spices & richness. ✨ I thoroughly enjoyed the food, & the decor is tasteful & welcoming. A great spot I'll definitely be returning to!

Ce qui rend l'endroit unique, c'est que tout est 100 % vegan. 🌱 C'est assez rare de trouver des plats moyen-orientaux accessibles aux personnes qui ne mangent pas de viande, & Sham le fait à merveille. Sham Restaurant in Montreal left our family with the most vibrant memories! From the very first minute, we were captivated by its unforgettable atmosphere: a cozy interior with touches of Eastern decor, soft lighting, & the delicate aroma of spices created a warm & welcoming vibe. Traditional music playing in the background added charm, transporting us to distant lands.
The cuisine exceeded all expectations! Every dish was a true work of art. We tried succulent kebabs, hummus that melted in the mouth with a smoky aftertaste, delicious falafels & crispy fries. We adored the sweet baklava, unique homemade lemonades & tea.
A special thanks to the staff! The service was impeccable: the waitstaff attentively accommodated our requests, helped us choose kid-friendly dishes, & smiles never left their faces. You could truly feel how much they value & care for their guests.
We left with full stomachs & hearts. Sham has become a gem we'll return to again & again. If you're looking for a place with soulful ambiance & food that delivers culinary bliss - this is it! We've already recommended it to friends & are planning our next visit. Thank you for a magical evening! ✨✨✨

We had a fabulous experience at this restaurant & will definitely be back. I'm interested to try their brunch as well. The decor is lovely/homey, food generous portions & very flavourful, a bit pricey but so are even not so good restaurants these days so this really felt worth it & we can home with leftovers. It's a huge menu so next time we will be able to try new dishes & know that it's not necessary to order so much! The lovely pot of mint tea really added to the meal. Only thing I wasn't so crazy about was the cheesecake which tasted like butter. Will try a different dessert next time. Big enough to share three ways.
Felt welcomed from the start at this restaurant. The staff were really generous with their service, their suggestions & their warmth all around. The flavours were very well executed considering this is a vegan menu. Portions were generous & I would recommend any of their skewers & plates. We shared a few dishes at the table & I think this is the best option to do if you're a group & want to try a few things. Enjoy!

I have been here a couple of times & the food never disappoints. All dishes are carefully curated & packed with flavor. The kebabs & the shawarma plate are some of my favorites. The owner is also very welcoming & makes the experience even more enjoyable. 10/10 would recommend for a dinner with friends, colleagues & family
I wish I could give them higher than 5 stars. This place was amazing. I thought I'd never be able to try poutine because of the dairy, but then we found this awesome all-vegan place. Our server was so kind & recommended some great dishes. The beer selection was very good. & definitely save room for dessert because the baklava is scrumptious!
I'm not a vegetarian & I assure you the grills taste exactly like meet. All the dishes are beautifully presented & delicious. Service is amazing, location is amazing with a beautiful terrasse. Not to be missed.
The options this restaurant offer are a rare find, since it's vegan: traditionally, a vast majority of the Syrian cuisine is composed of beef/chicken. So as a Lebanese, I couldn't help but feel like something's missing in the dishes, probably because old habits die hard: everything was, to my taste, good but nothing exceptional. However, the chef did a really good job with the shawarma: its taste's very similar to the OG one made with real chicken. My least favourite dish was the "kibbeh nayyeh": its flavour reminded me of a whole other dish called "bourghoul a banadoura", which should have nothing to do with this (but I can understand the creative idea behind it!). The waitress was adorable & accommodated our needs in the most gentle of ways.
We came for lunch on the terasse. All the staff were welcoming & friendly. They were very happy to explain & recommend dishes. We had the kebab & lamb skewers along side the Mulukhiyah: Everything was flavourful, well presented & fresh. Definitely the best vegan meats we have had on the island! The cocktail I was recommended ( the Damascus blossom) was well balanced & paired well with the meal. 10/10 recommend
