Clean affordable ramen shop. Noodles are not handmade & the tonkatsu broth today was a little thin , lacked fat & depth & needed tare. I'd be willing to bet the milky color came from milk & not pork bones that had been boiled for hours. But it was good. The egg was cold , like fridge cold & the chashu was very thin. The gyoza was devine.
They're tonkatsu is probably as good as it's going to get with dry noodles & the broth. & if your OK with that it's just fine . Service was excellent & the place is modern & clean.

Superb! Can you imagine flavorful broth without being salty? I recommend the thick noodle. Pork had good grill flavor & was lean. I would come back for the ramen but probably pass on the fried chicken & gyoza next time.
Tasty & quite spicy, very limited options for non-pork broth.
"One of the best ramen spots in Canada! The flavors are exceptional - the mushroom adds a delightful salty touch, the broth perfectly balances savory & sweet, & the pork is incredibly tender. They also offer a delicious vegetarian option. Highly recommend!"
I walked in on a very very cold & stressful day. It was a very clean & welcoming place. Although almost all of their broths contain pork, they have a veggie broth & chicken broth. Be sure to ask for it if you don't eat pork. I tried the chicken ramen & it LITERALLY healed my soul. It was so simple, comforting, healthy, fresh, flavourful & at a perfect temperature. I wish they had a brunch in Toronto. 100% recommended. All the best to their business.
Really good selection of pork based Ramen- wish they would add something for vegetarian otherwise staff & food were amazing
Best Ramen shop I've been to. Good price & good food quality. It was served very quickly & broth was very flavorful, probably homemade & not instant powder. Waiters were nice & pork was tender.
I tried their ramen for the first time at the ramen ramen fes 2024 opening. They had a kiosk & I got the classic tonkatsu. The broth was flavourful, the noodles perfectly cooked, the grilled pork was amazingly tender. Would absolutely go back again
The food is perfect for what it is. All the ingredients are cooked exactly as they should be. The eggs are soft boiled, the roasted pork is moist & the pork bone broth is deeply delicious. The mushrooms are sweet & spicy & the chili threads are just hot enough. I don't think the Ramen can actually be improved upon.
I got tonkotsu ramen to go & it was wonderful! The flavor of the pork was so good. The staff helped me figure out what to order when I called to place the order. The inside looked cool. Price was fair.
The staff was so cute & genuine, I loved the ramen soup with pork & the green sea weed apetizer. You like Noodles & want to see how it tastes in Japan? Sansotei wa oiishidesuyo.
I'm being extra picky, but compared to Saint-Bruno the food was a tinny bit less cooked: the noodle were a tad more firm & the pork just less roasted (tonkotsu ramen). The service was top notch, very very fast. I went to eat outside (this july) & it was nice. Though I would love to pay before eating because it wasn't clear if I needed to go inside to pay or wait for the waiter to approach me to do it. At the end of the day I went inside to pay. Very nice! I ate well.
Rich broth, generous slices of pork, a step up for Montreal's long suffering ramen scene. All menu items are well considered & carefully prepared. Staff are knowledgeable & friendly. Prices are on the higher side for Montreal, but in a high rent location that can be overlooked. Extra appetizers felt unnecessary considering the portion sizes. Next time I'll try the tomatoe ramen. Atmosphere was a little crowded, loud & cluttered for my tastes.
Very tasty, I wish there were more mushrooms on it & less pork chops.
Casual place for a quick ramen. Recommend for rainy days. Recognizing that this is a chain, here's a few things I liked/ disliked: Liked: Service is quick, & the server to table ratio seems good. The bamboo shoots & eggs are quite good with better texture than most places Disliked: The chashu still has a hint of gamy pork taste, but the texture is great. The broth could be better & having basic toppings like scallions would be great Overall a good experience
I don't know why I keep getting my hopes up for good Japanese food in Montreal. Had the black tonkotsu ramen. The broth was thin & didn't have the richness of tonkotsu broths I've had before. The mushrooms & noodles had a weird taste, like refrigerator. Pork was decent but overall the ramen lacked the complexity & richness of flavor I'm used to from better ramen I've had in NYC. Not worth the price.
So far my favourite ramen in Mtl! The broth was flavourful & they serve a good portion of meat. The only thing I would say is, they only have pork ramen options, unlike other ramen places who also offer a chicken replacement.
The ramen was not too bad, delicious pork but I wish the soup was more tasty. Great iced tea & yummy gyosas
