Restaurant Rumi offers you a culinary experience of the Silk Road that once crossed Central Asia and the Middle East. A route that linked cities, oases and markets... great traditions, formidable kingdoms.
The Silk Road was also the route of spices, generous in fragrance and flavor. We invite you to be inspired by the spirit of the travelers, merchants and pilgrims who, for centuries, exchanged goods, riches and important cultural elements.
A spirit of discovery and openness.
We aim to create a hospitable atmosphere conducive to meaningful encounters. A setting in which to take the time to restore oneself in the sense of regaining strength and meaning.
As far as possible, our cuisine favors local, organic and sustainable agriculture. All the meat we serve is halal.
We give priority to fresh, local produce.

My friend had 3 dishes from the Meze menu, I had the salmon & we enjoyed the homemade ginger drink. The food was so delicious & the service so good. We also enjoyed the music very much, & even had to ask for some new musical recommendations from the tracks that caught our attention (though the volume was very comfortable & not interfering at all with our conversation). We would lone to return here again when back in Montréal! Such a pearl of a restaurant! Thank you!!
Superbe endroit, chaleureux & convivial, cuisine maîtrisée & savoureuse, & excellent service.
Going to Rumi on a snowy day where time stops allows you to remember that warmer places exist & can enchant you with tastes & flavours that make you travel. The service is so detailed & makes you salivate. You feel like no matter what you choose flavour & delight will unfold. You will find a welcoming warmth & service at your attention.
A lovely neighbourhood spot that has been around for years. Cozy relaxed atmosphere with great middle eastern food. Service is always attentive & friendly.
Wonderful food! The dhal soup was delicious as was the naan bread. The servers were friendly & accommodating, but the service was slow.
The food was amazing. The atmosphere was perfect. The service was very slow when it's about the main dishes. Another thing happened is that, I added 5$ tip, however one of the servers didn't like that & he told me politely that here we accept only 10% minimum as a tip. I didn't like that reaction because after all he didn't do anything special & I am free to use my money the way I like.
This restaurant is a real gem! A delicious fusion of north African & middle east cuisines. I have had both brunch & dinner there. It is really rare to find a good brunch restaurant that offers reservations & thus no lineups! The service is very friendly & the server helped us with some special dietary restrictions to make the meal excellent for everyone. A refreshing menu in a intimate setting in the middle of the plateau. Highly recommend. 2 or 3 stairs at the entrance for accessibility.
