The Silk Road was also the route of spices, generous in fragrance and flavor. We invite you to be inspired by the spirit of the travelers, merchants and pilgrims who, for centuries, exchanged goods, riches and important cultural elements. A spirit of discovery and openness. We aim to create a hospitable atmosphere conducive to meaningful encounters. A setting in which to take the time to restore oneself in the sense of regaining strength and meaning.
As far as possible, our cuisine favors local, organic and sustainable agriculture. All the meat we serve is halal.
Rumi is described as a warm, inviting spot with beautiful décor and a Middle Eastern vibe, where generous portions, flavorful mezze and main courses, and fresh ingredients meet attentive, friendly service. The atmosphere is cozy and often lively, sometimes enhanced by live music and a charming terrace garden, making it suitable for intimate dinners as well as groups and celebrations. Guests repeatedly note excellent service, accommodating staff, and good value for the quality, with dishes ranging from hummus and halloumi to lamb shank and merguez highlighted as standouts. Their introduction to the fine food served at the Rumi did not disappoint. Friendly & responsive staff, great good & a good selection ofreasonably priced wines.
Everything was perfect. Small comment on the noise level... difficult to talk when you're just a half a meter away.
Absolument parfait, tout était délicieux, le serveur attentif & les lanternes allumées avec la chandelle sur la table ont donné une ambiance parfaitement romantique à la soirée

Lors de la tentative de réservation par internet, les plges de 19h,19h15, 19h30, étaient complètes; or à 19h45 le restaurant était presque vide! C'était donc un mensonge.- Le service était lent, des assiettes sales restaient sur la table.- Les entrées étaient douteuses. Les mezzeh froids étaient excellents.- La pastilla était trop sucrée.- Le dessert afghan n'était pas frais.
The food has always been good, but we noticed that the size of the portions has gotten smaller whilst the prices have gone up, & the presentation of the plates used to be in lovely middle eastern plates with covers, whereas now they are in simple smaller plates.
Très bon service, superbe terrasse ambiance accueillante dans une vie de cartier de proximité.
Qualité de la nourriture exceptionnelle beaucoup de choix pour tout les goûts.

This a spice route type of cuisine not specific to any country but that borrows from everything from North Africa to the Middle East, India & Iran. I wouldn’t call it traditional but it’s inspired. The food quality is consistent & the patio is always full.
Je suis une très ancienne cliente du Rumi & j'ai toujours adoré ce restaurant. Pour la première fois hier, la nourriture servie n'était pas comme d'habitude. Les pommes de terre n'étaient pas toutes cuites, le pain Naan était brûlé, les merguez très cuites (noires) & s'effritaient. Le thé marocain à la menthe était un peu fort & le goût différent.
J'espère que vous tiendrez compte de mon commentaire, car j'aime beaucoup le Rumi & pour moi, il a toujours représenté un lieu où on sert de la nourriture délicieuse & de très bonne qualité.
