Les repas étaient trop salés lors de nos deux visites dans votre restaurant. Cela dégrade le plaisir gustatif. Cette fois-ci, les entrées que nous avons choisies étaient particulièrement salées.
La nourriture est bonne, cependant nous nous attendions à de la cuisine plus raffinée, correspondant davantage aux prix & au décor.
Kudos to the chef who showed the absolute bare minimum effort to cook an otherwise delicious menu. Would strongly recommend against it.

We eat here whenever we come to Montreal. The food is delicious, especially the meze (starters): squid, baba ghanoosh, etc. The pudding dessert is heaven!

This place was initially known to be a very good & charming middle eastern restaurants in Montreal. But nowadays is actually a very low quality & very much expensive for what you get. Very disappointing to see how they lost their initial reputation
Ambiance très chaleureuse & intime, excellent service & bonne nourriture.
Ce n'est plus le Rumi que j'ai connu il y quelques années. Le serveur ne connaissait pas son menu ni le type de filet de boeuf offert à 44$. Il n'a même pas demandé la cuisson. Finalement j'ai opté pour le jarret. Quelle déception : un mini jarret noyé sous une sauce sucrée avec une petite portion de riz & de légumes. La soupe était correcte. Il y n' a plus de pain venant avec l'entrée alors nous avons demandé un naan. C'est un naan que l'on trouve dans la plupart des épiceries vendu en paquet. Il était brûlé d'un côté & mi cuit d'un autre. Ce fut d'un embarras! J'avais tellement vanté ce restaurant à ma belle famille & nous sommes sortis déçus.

N'essayez surtout pas le café décaféiné, malgré ce qu'ils diront il ne l'est pas. Après deux tentatives j'ai fini par apprendre sans comprendre pourquoi il le passait quand même. :(
J'adore ce resto, service sympathique & efficace, cuisine délicieuse & savoureuse, belles assiettes, très bon rapport qualité-prix. Je le recommande sans aucune hésitation.

I've been going to Rumi for over 15 years. I've celebrated birthday & other special occasions. It used to be my go to place for brunch, especially in the summer. However, since the pandemic the quality has gone down quite drastically. I went there last night & I am afraid to say it may be my last time. It is just not anywhere close to being on par with what it was. With the huge selection of excellent restaurants in the city, it doesn't make sense for me to keep going to a place hoping it'll be as good as it once was. It's very unfortunate as I know how hard it has been for restaurants to keep their staff but I just can't spend $120 & walk away so disappointed. Service was good, as usual.
