The Silk Road was also the route of spices, generous in fragrance and flavor. We invite you to be inspired by the spirit of the travelers, merchants and pilgrims who, for centuries, exchanged goods, riches and important cultural elements. A spirit of discovery and openness. We aim to create a hospitable atmosphere conducive to meaningful encounters. A setting in which to take the time to restore oneself in the sense of regaining strength and meaning.
As far as possible, our cuisine favors local, organic and sustainable agriculture. All the meat we serve is halal.

I had a wonderful experience at Rumi. The dishes are full of flavor, beautifully presented, & the staff was incredibly kind & attentive throughout the meal.
I highly recommend starting with the appetizers - they're absolutely delicious! The hummus & flatbread were especially fresh & flavorful.
The ambiance is warm & inviting, with a charming decor that adds to the overall experience. If you're looking for a unique & satisfying meal with Middle Eastern influences, this place is a must-visit. I'll definitely be coming back!
Delicious! In lovely ambience & a beautiful neighbourhood. We had 7 small dishes which was perfect & a great way to try a variety of food. (Also fyi lots of vegetarian choices, some vegan.)

Toujours un réel plaisir d'aller à ce restaurant mythique.Cette fois-ci j'ai essayé le saumon. Délicieux! J'ai cependant été surprise par la salade Fattouche qui semble avoir changé de recette... je préférais l'ancienne. Service rapide, courtois & ambiance unique. Déjà hâte à ma prochaine visite :)

I am picky when it comes to middle eastern food since I am one & theirs was delicious.
They make great Lebanese Iranian food.
I loved the fez which is lamb.
My friends loved the kafta karaz & djaj meshwi.
We had many appetizers such as babaghnouj
homous batata calamari merkez with naan bread.
I jad a small pot or Moroccan tea & a glass of Iranian tea. Those are great.
I wish they had the pita bread & kibbeh with meat.

Came here for supper one evening & it was fantastic! The braised Lamb Shank is expensive but very worth trying; falls off the bone & melts in your mouth. Great tea, delicious everything. Wonderful meal for sharing! Will probably be coming back to try their breakfast 😋

Belle découverte! Hier soir, je visitais ce resto pour la première fois avec mon conjoint. Tous les plats commandés étaient vraiment bons & les portions généreuses & le service attentionné. J'ai échappé une carotte par terre & notre serveur nous a apporté un bol contenant plusieurs légumes pour compenser. La déco est très belle! Ambiance chaleureuse! Nous reviendrons en été. Il y a une belle terrasse qui fait le tour du restaurant. J'adore la cuisine du Moyen-Orient, tellement savoureuse! J'ai été comblée!!
Je vais au Rumi pour mon brunch d'anniversaire depuis environ 5 ans, en plus de quelques soupers ici & là... & je viens d'y passer la soirée du nouvel an. C'est à chaque fois une expérience tellement agréable, autant sur le plan de la nourriture que du service, & l'ambiance est inégalée. Le seul hic, c'est qu'il n'y a plus le magnifique gâteau chocolat-cardamome, qui était la cerise sur le... gâteau d'une soirée au Rumi! En attendant qu'il ne réapparaisse sur le menu, je recommande fortement le Djaj meshwy, la kefta, le labneh & les aubergines farcies.
This was one of my favorite Montréal food experiences. The food was simple but perfect. I had the lamb with rice & veggies. The lamb bone slid right out because the meat was so tender, & the veggies were just the right amount of crisp. The plates were beautiful, & the whole room felt cozy, like visiting someone's home. All the seasonings on the food were delightful, but my favorite thing was the hibiscus juice. We'll be back here for sure.

Très bel endroit avec un très gros potentiel, belle ambiance aussi, on se sent très vite submergé par la route de la soie. Cependant on déchante dès que les plats sont servis même si c'est avec un grand professionnalisme. Les plats ( nous en avons pris 3) sont servis avec le même accompagnement qui est deux ou 3 allumettes(carottes/ courgettes) de légumes & un riz extrêmement SEC, & si vous voulez des patates & bien ce n'est pas un accompagnement, c'est une entrée qu'il faut payer. & c'est sans parler des rations qui sont ....disons pour un enfant de 5 nas 🤷. Quant au thé pour la fin, c'est juste une infusion de menthe mais j'avoue que ça fait du bien 😄. Nous y avons quand même passé un moment convivial, je recommande leurs moktails, mais honnêtement quand on a mangé un peu partout dans le monde, on ne peut pas dire que ce qui y est servi nous fasse voyager. Je déconseille si c'est pour manger, mais je conseille fortement pour un apéro entre amis.
Belle ambiance, service courtois, menu interessant, diversifié juste assez stimuler notre appétit. Les mets sont bien présentés mais manquent définitivement de saveur. Les keftas étaient trop cuits & pas suffisamment relevés. Les mezzés chauds manquaient aussi de saveur. C'est comme si le cuisinier avait manqué d'herbes ou d'épices à sa portée pour nous offrir l'expérience culinaire à laquelle nous nous attendions. Décevant.
Absolutely delicious food & drinks. We only tried non-alcoholic but they had some incredibly refreshing juices & satisfying teas. The food was also really fresh & came quickly. The best babaganoush I've ever had! We tried the fish, lamb special & chicken djaj & they were all excellent!
Nourriture délicieuse très bien apprêtée. Nous étions un groupe de 7 & tout le monde était content. Le restaurant était bizarrement vide pour un samedi soir par contre, ce qui crée une ambiance un peu plate. Je recommanderais quand même, mais pour un vibe relax & cozy.
Bonne cuisine & agréable ambiance,la cuisine est très bonne par contre le service à table n est pas des meilleure,mais malheureusement c est le cas partout au Québec les serveurs n aime pas trop leurs travail
This place is great!! One little hidden gem in Montreal, it deserves way more attention than it gets. It's affordable for the portions, the food is amazing & the ambiance is top notch. Very underrated!!
After a disastrous experience at the Croissanterie across the street we went to Rumi which has been on my radar for some time. It was excellent. The menu is interesting & broad. There was a shakshuka on the menu with beef & lamb which really hit all the buttons. I ate it slowly just to savour it. My wife had a semolina dish - kouinaffeh - which she adored. Add to it a delicious mint tea & it was a great meal. Service was excellent, atmosphere warm & lovely. The server mentioned pastia for the next time. & we'd be down for a next time for sure.
