La Lune is widely praised for its comforting yet refined rotisserie, with chicken and pintade that are juicy and tender, skin crisp, and a rich gravy, complemented by great house fries, coleslaw, and an array of shareable starters like croqu'ailes; desserts such as carrot cake and chocolate mousse are frequent favorites. The ambiance is described as warm, stylish, and lively, with a beautiful space that suits dates, groups, and private events in a dedicated room, and the service is often impeccable and attentive, though a few guests note moments of heaviness during peak times, long waits for reservations, and occasional missteps or rushed pacing. The menu's focus on poultry is celebrated and paired with thoughtful sides and a strong wine and cocktail program, while a minority calls for more consistent beverages or better value in certain portions or seasoning on some dishes. Some reviewers question the Michelin reference, while many see it as a neighborhood gem offering a high-end feel, generous portions, and memorable experiences, prompting frequent returns to explore seasonal items, desserts, and the depth of flavors across the menu.
Loved all the appetizers, all super thoughtful & well done! Even it took so long for the waiter to explain them all, because for some reason they are all different portion sizes that makes no sense & wasn't made clear on the menu. I don't know what the initial intentions are, but it comes across to me as a dark pattern used to try to make certain menu items seem cheaper than they are.
The rotisserie was decent, but I had higher expectations for a place that build its entire menu around it. The fries were amazing, even by Montreal standards! The gravy got so cold & congealed so quickly because it's the winter, & they don't have one of those boats with the candle underneath to keep it warm or something. Highly recommend investing in that! Had to re-ask for gravy multiple times.
I decided to go last minute today to treat myself for my birthday. I sat at the bar & the bartender served me & took the time to explain everything on the menu which was great! He also let me know that I could do half portions of most of the entrées should I wish to try multiple things which is EXACTLY what I did! I ordered one piece of bread with their AMAZING homemade onion butter, one piece of this fried cheese thing which was delicious! One deviled egg which was cut in two with this mild curry tasting mayoish sauce. One piece of their stuffed chicken wing which was also so good with this house Dijon that packed a punch of horseradish & I loved it! & lastly, an order of this bread with pâté on top & gravy. That was probably my least favourite thing that I ordered & I looove pâté normally. I also decided last minute to order a half order of fries to go because they looked incredible but I was too full to eat another bite there. That said I tried them at home with the gravy he gave me for them & WOWWWWW those fries were phenomenal! My bill came out to about $52 plus tip for all that variety of food! I DEFINITELY recommend this place to anyone thinking of going! It's not only affordable but it's really delicious & the service is fantastic & the place is designed nicely as well with a nice laid back vibe.
First time trying guinea fowl - a flavorful bird somewhere between chicken & duck, lean yet rich, with a slightly gamey depth that makes every bite interesting.
This one was farm-raised & roasted on the spit until the skin turned perfectly crisp & golden, the meat tender & juicy.
Served with endless fries & homemade chicken gravy, it's the kind of dish that feels both comforting & a little luxurious.
Who knew my first pintade would taste like this kind of revelation? 🍗🥂
What a great concept ! The heart of what they do is chicken & all the elements of the trifecta of traditional Quebec rotisserie, meaning frensh fries, chicken & gravy were all next level. & then you have side dishes that were innovative & fresh & interesting. & the wine list had great selections. Smart fun friendly & simple. Good service in a beautiful dinning room . Thank you!
I have to say service staff & food were amazing. Management on the other hand needs to figure some things out as the place was not properly air conditioned, we waited 35 minutes+ past our reservation time for a table, & only the single stall main floor washroom was functional on a busy Friday night. You would expect more from a Michelin recommended restaurant. Maybe serve ice water as a first step?
The guinea fowl was full flavour, wish I could substitute the fries though. The oyster spinach dip was good. The baked potato with chanterelles & bacon was the best I've had, & I don't like potatoes. The Louis d'Or fondu melted in your mouth. The chicken sandwich was good, the gravy was great. My Scarlet (basically a Manhattan) was a nice starter cocktail.
Our waitress was fantastic, polite, efficient, & helpful. Wine recommendation was on point. The music choices & the decor were fun. Always love hearing Metronomy.

Amazing staff experience, worked very well to make it a seamless experience to make sure nobody waited too long. Rolls were indeed very fantastic & pistachios were a great touch to the terrine. Excellent chicken & coleslaw the way I like it, more vinegary! Fries, gravy, & rotisserie chicken -- a simple dinner always gets the job done. Especially when done this well!
Fantastic experience at La Lune!
I had an incredible meal here-La Lune completely exceeded my expectations. I started with the chicken soup filled with ravioli & vegetables-light, flavorful, & comforting.
The cucumber & lobster salad was fresh, beautifully plated, & bursting with bright herbs & creamy richness. For the main dish, the rotisserie chicken was perfectly cooked with crispy skin, juicy meat, & paired with some of the best fries I've had. The gravy on the side was rich & savory-absolutely delicious.
A special shoutout to Simon, the bartender, who provided exceptional service. He was friendly, knowledgeable, & added a personal touch that really elevated the whole experience.
The ambiance at La Lune is polished but welcoming-a perfect spot whether you're grabbing a solo meal at the bar or dining with friends. I'll definitely be back!
Love the concept of a fancy version of rotisserie chicken dinner. Besides the rotisserie chicken there's a lot of entrées that's worth trying out. Chicken wings was crispy & juicy. My son loved the soupe de poulet but I wish it could be warmer & more flavors with the broth. We had the soft buns with flavored butters, if i was not wrong their breads were offered by a local Bakery call Automne Boulangerie.
The star of the show rotisserie chicken were nice with crispy skin & tender meats, came with fries & house made gravy. We had the coleslaw & mushroom salad as an additional sides. Last but not least their desserts were impressive too. We had carrot cake & chocolate Mousse both were delicious, not overly sweet but full of flavors.
This establishment appears to be riding on the reputation of Mon Lapin, as the food was seriously lacking in flavor. The chicken was ordinary at best, supermarket rotisserie chicken has more flavor & crisper skin at a price 5x lower ! The fries also lacked crispness & the gravy was missing flavor completely ! The cole slaw also underwhelmed. The carrot & the beet appetizers were decent at best, but the high price for a few carrots (or 5 slices of yellow beets) was vastly out of sync with what was presented. Where are the fresh herbs & other accoutrements that can elevate these dishes to match the prices being charged ?!? The noise level & background music was also at a level that detracted from the overall experience. Too bad as the dining room is nicely designed & the waiters were efficient & friendly.

A banger!!! We loved every single part of our meal - the soup, the buttery buns, the incredible chicken & fries, the gravy, the perfectly balanced, creamy carrot cake. 10/10. We will definitely be back & be recommending this place to all our friends & family.
Edited to say: pls let in guests who have 5 pm reservations & arrive 5 min before service. We were cold outside & it would have been thoughtful.
Amazing service & ambiance! However the food has room for improvement & was a bit underwhelming - Coleslaw - unique flavour, tasted celery 5/10 Chicken Liver - interesting to serve room temperature, not what you'd expect but not bad 6/10 Onion Bread - bread was okay, butter was good, butter would be nice warmed 5/10 Chicken - 6.5/10 fresh but nothing special Fries - 6 okay, nothing special Gravy - 4/10 perhaps it being gluten free made the flavour a bit different, wasn't the most complimentary to the fries & chicken in my opinion Chicken Wing Appetizer - 6/10 good… but nothing special, the mustard is a nice contrast
