The skin is to die for, tastes like charcoal hardcore. The fries are the best fries I've ever ate, the sauce & coleslaw too! I've been going to chalet bbq since I'm a young child, always stayed the same. The atmosphere is old & rustic, it has its charm, the waitresses are so nice.The ultimate comfort food! If you guys ever wanna sell the restaurant or franchise it I'm in 100%!
This is my favorite place to eat chicken can't beat this place for chicken I always have the double chicken legs are my one to have & always the fries & soup & never I mean never forget the extra sauce this place is soooo gooood

The chicken was very good. We took the family meal. Which came with a whole chicken, fries ,coleslaw & gravy. Excellent value for the price.
A true Montreal icon. The best BBQ chicken in Canada, by far. Dine in to experience a restaurant that hasn't changed its decor in half a century, which is part of what makes it so fun. Fun, friendly staff.
Been too long since I ate here. So good. Draft beer, chicken soup & half chicken with extra gravy is the way to go. Enjoy!

When I crave chicken, this is the place I go to! It's got that old charm to it & the prices are really reasonable.
An absolute must for anyone who loves good rotisserie chicken... even better: their sauce!! Absolutely incredible.
My favorite part of visiting Chalet BBQ, though, is the decor... i'm sure nothing has changed in about 40 years... brown wood everywhere (including the walls!), tacky art on the walls, cramped orangebooths... even the dinner plates are vintage, I swear! Feels like stepping back into the'80s. Seriously iconic stuff. It feels JUST right, along with the waitresses who've worked there for ages (some may SEEM grouchy, but if you're sweet enough, they call you'hun' or'my love!'), & unbeatable food, this is one of my favorite nostalgic spots.
Iconic restaurant that stands the test of time it offers a full menu of generous portions of BBQ chicken dishes with sides. Not gastronomy but tasty. The service was great, fast & friendly it was clear to see many customers were regulars. This place has been serving customers at the same location for generations so if your in the area & are in the mood for some great tasting chicken give it a try. Lunch specials are available.
This chicken place is one of the best in Montreal. The chicken is of good quality & well prepared-not dry nor flavourless like grocery chicken. The sauce is made with real chicken fat, not glucose or other chemical mix; also it is not overly salty, the kind you need to drink a galon of water after eating. The fries are made with real wholesome potatoes. Overall the chicken plates are worth it. However, what is beyond delicious is their poutine. It is the BEST that I have ever had in Montreal. Still on of Montreal's landmark BBQ restaurants. Still one of my favorite BBQ Chicken restaurants on or off the islands of Montreal & Laval. Many waitresses & their family members have worked there for decades. All the staff & management, like Steven the lunchtime matradee are so pleasant. Even Stevens' children work there, & Steven is demanding for things to be done right. Lovely atmosphere. Expect to see holiday tidings on walls & ceilings. Plenty of crayons & cutouts to keep younger children busy so the parents can enjoy the atmosphere. What can I say...I love the place.
Although this place is dated since 1944 it is the best Barb-q chicken & sweet french fries in all of Quebec!
OG spot in montreal. Chicken is Good.
