About us
Rotisserie Chalet Bar-B-Q opened its doors in August 1944. Over the years we have built a legendary reputation for the best roast chicken in the world. This really is the connoisseur's choice! We selectively buy wholesale chicken, always fresh and plump. Our chickens are slowly roasted in brick kilns on real maple charcoal. We ensure that all our chickens are gold and crisp on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. When served with our famous home-made dipping sauce, nothing compares. Simply delicious. Pros:
A) The food here is always good & cooked to perfection.
B) The interior is always nice & not too bright with the lights & it's feels cozy
C) The service is always good here depending on the Waiter/Waitress they are kind & polite.
D) Parking is free in the back of the restaurant & on the street if need be.
F) They offer delivery & takeout options.
G) Love the booths instead of the tables.
Cons:
A) Service may be slow depending on a busy time & day.
B) The washroom is small & sometimes may not be cleaned well.
Conclusion:
Please try this Roast chicken if you haven't yet. I have been here more times than I counted & since 1944 they have perfected the recipe & the restaurant the way it is.

Je connais & fréquente Chalet BBQ depuis 1985.
Si le goût unique & délicieux du poulet, des frites & de la sauce ont fait la réputation de ce restaurant, l'ambiance se détériore malheureusement.
Jusqu'à récemment, on pouvait manger les oreilles & la tête tranquille, sans entendre de musique.
Mais les choses ont changé. On se fait casser les oreilles par la musique, & c'est un manque de respect pour les clients qui veulent avoir la paix pour manger.

I've known & frequented Chalet BBQ since 1985.
While the unique & delicious taste of the chicken, fries & sauce have made this restaurant famous, the atmosphere is unfortunately deteriorating.
Until recently, you could eat with your ears & head quiet, without hearing any music.
But things have changed. We're having our ears broken by the music, & it's a lack of respect for customers who want to eat in peace.

Eigentlich bin ich kein Hähnchen Fan. Muss aber sagen , dass es mir sehr gut geschmeckt hat. Meine Freunde waren ebenfalls positiv überrascht. Ich kann das hot Chicken Sandwich nur empfehlen und die Bratensauce dazu war sehr gut. Die Sauce war nicht zu scharf und die Zimt Note war gut.View more

Always a nostalgic meal at Chalet Bar-B-Q, a must-visit when we return home for comforting & familiar Montreal food, along with smoked meat & bagels, of course! The decor is dated but that is what makes it so charming. Chicken is always perfectly cooked - they are the only ones in Montreal still allowed to use charcoal, & their's is red cherrywood. It complete elevates the chicken. French fries are plentiful & perfect, especially with their nonstop supply of sauce. I want to also mention Tina, our server, who is joy personified & the most attentive waitperson imaginable. She took the best possible care of us & we left with full bellies & smiles on our faces.View more

We've come here for as long as I could remember, we did our family birthdays here when I was a kid! Although we moved away from NDG, coming back feels like home. My husband recently did a ventilation job here & even then, he was treated like family & fed very generously. This review is long due.
