Romies is more than just an restaurant; it's a destination where memories are made, relationships are nurtured, and a sense of belonging is cultivated.
Join us as we invite you to indulge in an experience that celebrates tradition and embraces the excitement of the new.
Romies offers a lively Montreal dining experience with a warm, stylish vibe and a crowd that appreciates shareable plates, bold crudo and fried zucchini, and well executed mains like steak and pasta. The food is frequently described as delicious and flavorful with standout desserts such as the blackout cake, and cocktails and wine are also praised, as is the terrace and interior which create a welcoming atmosphere. Service is often attentive and friendly, though a number of reviews note inconsistent pacing and some slow moments, and prices are considered high for what is offered. Overall Romies is seen as a top pick for friends and celebrations, with many guests planning to return to enjoy the food and ambiance despite these drawbacks.
I liked the vibes here it's a cute restaurant. We originally wanted to try the burger because that's what was recommended to us but apparently the waitress said they were sold out, so we ended up trying a few other things on the menu. The food was honestly mid I've definitely had better, but the chocolate cake completely saved the experience because wow… it was the star of the whole show. So goodddd & 100% the one thing I'd come back for.
INSANELY good food. Service was 10/10. The pasta was worth every penny I suggest you order several different plates & share like tapas style. The zucchini was to die for 🤤🤤
Food is amazing, just like the drinks, & portions are more than generous. I've had the best burger 🍔 of my life in this establishment (sorry dad). I will have to be back this summer for the incredible patio

We had our wedding at Romies with 72 guests & it was super intimate.
We had our ceremony & cocktail hour in the courtyard, & our reception inside the restaurant. First off, the staff is 10/10 - service was incredible & the food was outstanding. We had an open bar & family style dining. We had antipasti & focaccia to start, catalina salad & fried zucchini followed by pasta alla zozzana, rib eye, branzino as the mains, & fries + side veg. Finished off with the Black out cake which was out of this world + our wedding cake. The food was never ending. Everyone was so well fed.
Nick & his team were so organized. We mostly dealt with Franck & Camille & they were very accommodating + responsive.
Thank you, Romies ♥?

This place has a great vibe. The moment you walk in you are struck by the decor & ambiance.
The food is quite good, but is is very expensive for what it is. $41 (before tip & tax) for a medium sized burger & fries is insane. $36 for a basic pasta dish with just sauce & cheese?
At those prices you can eat at the best restaurants in the city. While Romies is good, it is not even close to the best in the city.
The service was good, but again, at these prices it should be the highest level of service which it is not.
I will be back, but likely for just drinks since the food is really not worth it.
Service exceptionnel, cuisine incroyable, le meilleur crudo ever
Notre expérience a été remarquable, merci à toute l'équipe & à Alex pour le service de grande qualité

The sun was shining & I needed a drink, it felt like spring.I came in to Romies to a welcoming smile. They sat me down at the bar where Nino proceeded to make me the best pornstar cocktail I have ever had. I ordered the tortellini & was amazed by how deep in flavour the pistachio pesto was. Amazing service by Tommy, always checking in to see if I needed anything. Such a great experience truly a must stop for ANYONE. Doesn't matter who, doesn't matter why.
You finish a long weekday at work on a weekday nearby. You walk in at 6:30 in a suit hoping to have a whiskey (or two) by the bar. The restaurant is half empty with not a single person sitting at the bar.
You're then told you must order food if you are to occupy a seat because seats are held for customers who eat.
Business must be great to be turning people away with an empty restaurant.
the food is really good not going to lie (all the appetizers were 100/10) however the quality of the beef was mediocre.
for a 5 star restaurant the service wasn't very attentive & there wasn't much attention to detail. basic steps of service were not met, as well as we waited over 30 mins for a glass of wine where we had to flag down a different server to remind them about it, but even then afterwards no body came in to check up on us until the food was done.
Lighting around some tables were very dim(some foodies need light for those photos & you know the girlies love photos)😆
, food was great & the service also but the wait was quite awhile, I don't know if it was because of the amount we ordered or how much people were there . (I think it's better to reserve reservations) Because on the weekends it's going to be full .

If I could give their service 1000/10 I would. Franc at the host table was exceptional at making our trip to Montreal & this restaurant memorable. We came from Toronto to celebrate my sisters birthday & this restaurant was truly the highlight. From the food to the atmosphere, Romies Montreal is our new favourite restaurant! TIP: you MUST get the blackout cake, soooo good!
Jeffrey must have been having a bad night. The food was tasty but his service was off from the beginning, it genuinely felt like he hated us. Was rude & not attentive, on a Tuesday night. Don't understand why he had an attitude, it was off-putting, alongside the good food. Couldn't even crack a single smile & was rough with the water, menus, & bills.
