Owners, you've clearly put a lot of effort & investment into the look & feel of this restaurant. Unfortunately, a restaurant is not defined by its décor alone. After a good first visit, it was disappointing to see guests left unacknowledged for nearly 20 minutes after being seated, without even a simple greeting or a glass of water. It is ironic that so much attention can be given to the details people see, while the most basic detail of hospitality can be overlooked. FYI- 7/14 around 8
J'ai passé une magnifique soirée chez Romies pour célébrer mon anniversaire entourée d'amis. Les plats étaient délicieux, tout comme les cocktails. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié l'ambiance décontractée de la terrasse ainsi que le service attentionné & impeccable de Clara. À la prochaine !
Came here for dinner & was not impressed. Service was very slow, we waited very long for our meal. The beef carpaccio was very good & salads were decent. The burger was mediocre. This resto did not meet my expectations.
Je ne conseille le poisson (flétan) à personne. Tiède, même froid & sec à l'intérieur. Congelé?
Sundae au fromage & fraises délicieux. Gâteau Brooklyn Black-out (au chocolat) ordinaire.
Entrée de courgettes frites aussi délicieuse.
Terrible experience. Everyone at our table was disappointed with their meal & had something negative to say about the food. The service was painfully slow & disorganized; even though the restaurant was nearly empty, we were left waiting forever just to get the bill & the card machine.
The worst part was watching a huge rat dart right past our table in the courtyard while we were eating.
Poor food, dreadful service, & disgusting hygiene. Will NOT GO BACK!
We chose Romies to host our intimate wedding dinner, & it was one of the best decisions we made. Frank as well as the manager the day of, went above & beyond to make sure everything was perfectly organized. They were incredibly accommodating & attentive.
The service was exceptional-friendly, professional, & perfectly timed.
The food was outstanding, the atmosphere was elegant & welcoming, & it was the perfect setting to celebrate such a special occasion with our closest family & friends.
A huge thank you to the entire team at Romies for making our wedding celebration so memorable. We are so grateful for all the care & attention that went into the evening.
Je donne malheureusement 0 étoile pour cette expérience. Les prix sont beaucoup trop élevés par rapport à ce qui est servi : un burger, une salade, un petit filet de boeuf, un verre de vin & deux Corona pour un total de 176 $.
En plus de cela, j'ai laissé un pourboire de 5 %, mais le serveur m'a demandé si je n'étais pas satisfait du service, puis il m'a fait comprendre que je devais normalement laisser 15 %, soit environ 25 $ de pourboire. J'ai trouvé cette remarque très déplacée & inconfortable. Le pourboire reste un choix du client, il ne devrait jamais être imposé ni réclamé de cette manière.
Honnêtement, je n'ai pas apprécié l'expérience. Le rapport qualité-prix est très mauvais & l'attitude du serveur était impolie. Je ne recommande pas ce restaurant.
Romies has a beautiful setting, especially the charming little terrace, but the experience doesn't quite live up to the ambiance. The space itself is lovely, warm, & inviting, yet the staff felt noticeably unwelcoming. The front?of?house guy in particular came across as brusque, which set an odd tone for the visit.The food was okay, nothing terrible, nothing memorable. Desserts, on the other hand, were genuinely great & easily the highlight of the meal. If you go, save room for something sweet. As for the shrimp cocktail, I wouldn't recommend it; it missed the mark & didn't match the quality of the rest of the menu. Overall, Romies is a beautiful spot with potential, but the hospitality & some dishes need attention before I'd consider returning.
