Went there for a dinner for 3 pax, 2 weeks ago. Came on a Tuesday night, the place was busy but not so much as to slow down the service.
We asked the server about a specific wine & after checking with the'Sommelier', she came back with a description of the wine as'Being funky but not too funky'......
While the server on table beside us was opening the wine bottle for the guests with the bottle squeezed between the crook of her arm & her left breast..... Not really appropriate in a'luxury' place.
After being asked if we were still'working' on our appetizer (3 different dishes, almost all done), we were served the main courses.
One fish, one beef tartare ( from the starter menu) & a plate of pasta with clams: not much to be wowed by with, missing salt on the beef tartare, which was served with the now classic'Écrasé de pommes de terres / semi-mashed potatoes with mayo, which were undercooked).
I cannot talk about the other dishes as I did not taste them.
Overall, an evening that can be improved both from the kitchen & mostly with better training for the service part.
Will not go back, too many good places in Montreal to go to instead of this one.
Insanely good food. This is some of the best food i've ever had in my life. Every single dish was amazing.
Our daughter Mia & son in law Stuart. married in the courtyard at Romies; followed by a phenomenal intimate reception. The service was top notch, the food was fresh authentic, plentiful & exquisitely plated. The cocktails were beautifully crafted. Thanks to Franck & Nick & staff for great collaboration & for making this day unforgettable. Mille grazie to our guests for a special evening we won't soon forget.
Busy yet chill vibes. Low lights atmosphere. They have bocci ball in the back, the toilets are outside of the restaurant which is a little odd but it works. Their drinks were good. Price point is high but the quality matches it. The rib eye steak was perfectly cooked & seasoned. The fries were made in house & tasty. The ceasar salad was okay. I would go with another options in the future, instead of salad.
Amazing restaurant. I was there last night & with my boyfriends & I highly recommend
I was hesitant about the menu, but I should not have doubted the team at Arthur's. Shrimp cocktail is nice, very refreshing. Beef tartare was fantastic - very good with its bedding of Russian salad. Apricot BBQ pork ribs were amazing & went really well with the Pfalz orange wine. Avoid the house pasta - it's fine but clearly just there to appease the picky eaters. We didn't have it, but I would recommend the pasta alle vongele instead as it looked delicious - big mound of it, good for sharing maybe.
Dining out is about more than just the food-it's about the people who bring the whole experience to life. Jeana embodies this perfectly. She doesn't just serve a table; she lights it up. With every smile, every thoughtful gesture, & every perfectly timed word, she transforms a simple meal into a lasting memory.
Jeana has a unique grace in the way she works: attentive but never intrusive, kind without pretense, & genuine in every interaction. It feels less like being served & more like being welcomed into a story where true hospitality shines at the center.
If the food nourishes the body, Jeana nourishes the soul. 🌿
Was served by the bartender Jeana (Hope I'm spelling it right!) she was absolutely incredible! I have a few allergies & she went above & beyond to ensure my meal was delicious & that we had a good time. I will definitely be back here when in MTL & recommend. Ps. The drinks were 🔥
The food was fine, just as expected. The service was ok. Atmosphere was pretty good.
La nourriture était très ordinaire pour le prix. Le service était lui aussi assez ordinaire. On dirait plutôt un pacini à 100$ par personne. On peut trouver beaucoup mieux à Montréal.
