Resto Keela earns widespread praise for its welcoming vibe and consistently excellent food. Signature dishes like the octopus, celery root carpaccio, salmon tartare, and the rib or filet mignon are repeatedly highlighted, and oysters on Tuesdays are a particular favorite. The menu is described as creative and well paced, with breads, beignets for dessert, and flavorful sides adding to the experience. Service is often described as friendly and attentive, and the staff create a lively yet homey atmosphere, though a few reviews note slower service when the restaurant is crowded. Cocktails and wine receive strong praise for variety and quality. Prices are sometimes seen as high, but many feel the quality and overall experience justify the cost. It is described as a hidden gem in the Village and a top pick for return visits. A few remarks mention accessibility issues or occasional hiccups in service when busy.
The oysters are fresh & the vinegar sauce fits perfectly. Definetly the best filet mignon we've had in a long time! The service is great & I would 100% recommend this place.

Hidden gem in the Village! We've been to Keela countless times since it first opened (most often on Tuesdays for the oysters - guilty!) & we have never been disappointed! Food is just great, they always have unique dishes not on the regular menu - even New Year's Eve was an absolute blast with a big group! The service is attentive & top notch & the whole vibe is conducive to just the greatest evenings. The bread with hummus & tartare are definitely favourites, oh & the shrimps too!
Okay this is one of the best restaurant experiences i've had in Montréal; the food is absolutely delectable (i had the salmon tartare with shrimp chips as well as the veggie flatbread- only because they were out of their $1 oysters they have every Tuesday) the music & ambiance is top tier & everything is super quick including being acknowledged. Speaking of knowledge, the servers know the menu well & their cocktails. While busy on a tuesday (good sign), Harlen had time to chat with me in between servicing his other tables. 10/10, not only will i be back, I can't believe I haven't been here sooner!
We celebrated valentines as a family & the food was amazing. The oysters sweet & fresh, the Marguerita pizza was my kids favourite. We had lobster & the it is the first time I love it! The hamburger was excellent & the artichokes were a pleasant surprise. The beef tartare was ok & the chocolate mousse was the bomb! All a tiny bit on the salty side but excellent nonetheless. Service was good & music was cool. Will recommend & visit many more times.
My goto restaurant in Montreal! I think I've tired every single dish on the menu (as well as various specials) & have never been disappointed. Oyster Tuesday gives me FOMO on a weekly basis. Good wine selection & delicious signature cocktails, however there is a distinct lack of beer options. The staff, Kirsten & Jonny in particular, are amazing - super friendly, sociable yet efficient. My only pet peeve is that they don't allow dogs (pun intended). Then again we would probably end up there half of the week, so perhaps it is for the best.

Reservation for 3, early in the evening. Good ambience, with classic small casual bistro feel (no tablecloths).
Oysters were promptly served & shucked, complemented by a couple of nice house made sauces. (Oyster prices can’t be beat on Tuesday, $1 per)
Main dishes consisted of the Keela burger & the pork.
The burger was good, served medium, but the meat seemed kind of stiff. The frites were also good but not great, they were a bit tough to chew. The dip provided was a dijon mayonnaise. Why is it that casse croûte places have better fries than bistros in Montreal?
The pork was a bit strange; it is served in a wine sauce with mushrooms. The sauce wasn’t thick enough & the pork was, like the burger, a little stiff. It is also strange that no carbohydrate is served with the pork, just a piece of meat swimming in a sauce with mushrooms. It felt unfinished.
Also, it took an hour for our main courses to come out- that’s a bit too long for the simple items we ordered, & considering there was nobody in the restaurant at the time we ordered.
That being said, the gentleman who lit the table candle & kept our glasses of water full was a delight!
Dessert was London Fog ice cream — it was good but not worth the price.
Also, & this is purely my opinion, but bread & butter should be served in bistros; it would have been nice with the oysters. (I’ve had their garlic knots prior, which were good, but I’m talking about baguette)
This is a must. Best food in the area & really good for a date. Ask for the oysters as they’re not on the menu. Their home made oyster sauce is so good. The morning hen was baked to order & to perfection.
Excellent gem of a restaurant that serves some unique & delicious dishes. We enjoyed the oysters, flatbread, salads ( the burrata one was beautiful!) & wish we had room to try the roasted fish ! Lovely ambience & the service top notch. Our server ( we had Lucy) was warm, welcoming & very informative. I wish we were staying longer in Montreal - to try their whole menu!! My husband & I both had a really good experience at Keela . Try it!!
Superbe découverte dans le cadre de Oystermania! Nous sommes restés pour souper & tout était succulent! Bon resto de quartier qui a du charme, staff super sympathique, bonne sélection de vins, nous y retournerons sans hésiter!
