Resto Keela is widely regarded as a hidden gem in the heart of Montreal, offering a warm and energetic atmosphere complemented by live music and attentive service. Guests frequently praise the high quality and freshness of the menu, with standout items such as the celery root carpaccio, ribs, fresh oysters, octopus, and beef tartare consistently earning high marks. While the vast majority of patrons enjoy the unique cocktail selection and the welcoming, homey vibe created by the staff and owners, occasional feedback mentions concerns regarding pricing, noise levels, or the speed of service during busy periods. Overall, it is considered a must visit destination for those seeking a memorable culinary experience with consistently delicious food.
I went on a Friday & before writing this I saw a review complaining that the singer speaks English. Yes. Obviously. He's a singer, not a language test subject.
Are we really at the point where someone should lose work because they don't perform language perfection for a customer? That feels less like feedback & more like someone looking for something to be offended by. 🙄
If you're coming here to spread that kind of energy, maybe pick a place 100 years in the past.
I recommend THIS BAR cause while I was there the vibes were great.

My go to spot in ville Marie, always an amazing experience. Highly recommend beef tartare, celery root carpaccio, dollar oysters on tuesdays, flatbreads, piri piri shrimp & ribs. Cocktails are amazing & very kind staff.
I liked the ambiance of the place there's a live band every Friday, which makes it really enjoyable. I also liked the staff & the music; they really add to the great atmosphere. The food is good, but what stood out & what I would definitely recommend are the pesto & ail, the poulet Cornouailles, & their good selection of wine. I also loved their appetizers. Overall, it's a great spot & I would happily go back
The oysters are fresh & the vinegar sauce fits perfectly. Definetly the best filet mignon we've had in a long time! The service is great & I would 100% recommend this place.
Went here in september with my wife & baby son. To say the least, it was incredible.
Favorite restaurant/food/drink experience Ive had in all of Canada. Cornish Hen was possibly the best poultry Ive ever eaten.
Steak frites also some of the best Ive ever had. The filet was tender & as flavorful as a more marbled type of cut, which was unbelievable. The rye, mint, chartreuse cocktail also, I kid you not, was one of the best cocktails Ive ever had. I know, this all sounds unbelievable BUT believe it!! The service was top notch as well, we had a gentleman with a mustache & glasses as our server & he basically recommended everything we ended up ordering. Atmosphere felt lively & homey at the same time. Thank you again. This place was 11/10. Believe it!
Stopped in without a reservation on a Saturday & grabbed a seat at the bar. Staff was super friendly & the food was amazing. Ordered the octopus off the regular menu & the baked scallops on special. Was all perfectly cooked & the meal was paced well for a solo guest. Would definitely recommend & will visit again on my next trip to Montreal
