thai(65) dishes(47) wine(41) pork(29) curry(27) flavour(26) recommend(24) vin(22) dessert(20) salad(19) fish(19) tiramisu(18)Best Thai food I've had since being in southeast Asia. Got 3 menu items (the pork neck, chicken legs, & Som Tham) & for 2 people that was a lot. Came with sticky rice. Extensive wine list, but only 2 cocktails (which is cool, they're a wine bar). Food was absolutely crazy for how much you pay per person. Worth making the trip from wherever you are in Montreal.
Fun atmosphere & warm service. Tried the pork collar with yu choy, lamb massaman, chive cakes, & fried tofu. All delicious & different than I expected!
A funky trendy place (busy). Great wine & service. Food was okay but given the prices it could have been much better.
I got to be real- I took my partner here for their birthday. The waiter working was not the most helpful, Did not have any recommendation or ideas of the spice level, & it highly impacted our experience. I have plenty of Friends & collègues who love it here. But on my end, unfortunately it was a very mediocre meal to be spending close to $300s on.
Thai food is one of the most fragrant & tasty cuisines on earth. This restaurant is anything but. The dumplings were soggy bland balls of mush. The porc balls were overcooked under seasoned rubber balls. The lamb was decent but by far the most expensive thing on the menu. This is a cocktail bar, not a restaurant. I guess if you’re drunk the food must taste better.
Had dinner there last night, the food was really flavorful, loved it. The wines however were bloody awful. One actually had a distinct nose of newsprint (I’m not exaggerating at all), & was totally undrinkable. If pairing their menu with different varieties of vinegar or cheap cooking wine is your thing then you’re in for a real treat. Too bad though because the food was very good.
Une cuisine extra, qualité des ingrédients, présentation, goût ! Wow.
Overrated, overhyped & overpriced. The food is okay, but lacks flavour, is pretentious & definitely not worth the wait. There are other smaller, cheaper & more authentic Thai places in Montreal.
This is more of a looks good on IG but doesn't taste good irl kind of place. Save your money & time & go one of the many friendlier family run businesses in the area for authentic Thai food. Disappointed.
Very cute vibrant decor & tasty food. I went on a Wed for dinner with a friend & the restaurant was bustling. Our favorite dish was the tapioca dumplings, it was unlike anything we've tried before & it was delicious.
Vibe is great but the food is NOT; this is the type of "thai" cuisine that has been overly adapted to Western interpretation.
I will remember the meal I had at Pichai for a long time I think. & thanks to the chef for using a good amount of chilis. It’s not real Thai food without it.
One of the better Thai food places I’ve tried in Canada. Most of the dishes were great, but the corn salad & sausage dish really fell flat. Drinks were a little watered down, & the food was a tad pricey for what it was. Definitely worth the visit, but personally did not live up to the hype for me.
My favourite restaurant in a city full of amazing food. I’ve eaten here so many times & often bring out of town visitors. Everyone is always so impressed. Be sure to try the whole fish & tiramisu.
Two of us thought that the arctic char & other dishes made for their best restaurant meals they’d ever had. I “just” thought that it was absolutely superb.
Wow. Wizards of spice & flavour must inhabit the kitchen because every dish here is magic. Prepare for some heat though by ordering a good bottle of wine from their impressive list. Perfect meal & date night - the hype around this place is real.
The food was really disappointing especially for the price. I had the green curry special & it was so oily. The sauce had a decent flavour but nothing mind blowing. It was like the vegetables & meat couldn’t hold the flavour because the sauce was so oily it just slid off. & the beef was also very fatty & hard to chew. The prices were outrageous. The veg red curry took on a strange flavour the more it sat. The tamarind egg were so underwhelming basically just a soft boiled egg. The papaya salad was our favourite but you could find something comparable at probably any Thai restaurant. Our server was very kind & the ambience was great. Unfortunately the food was a let down.
Utterly outstanding!! Would walk there from anywhere to eat there, & the pork collar in particular! Service great & a fascinating & brilliant wine selection.
