Sat on the patio of this Thai restaurant & was greeted warmly by Frankie. We tried a few appetizers & a few entrees. The raw scallops were exceptional & so was the chicken stir fry on the specials. The hanger steak fell flat for me but I am a filet lover & this was strip so I wasn't a huge fan. The grilled shrimp was so tender & flavorful. Our bottle of wine was tasty & they were super open to our price point & gave us great recommendations.

If you're over the traditional Thai dishes, THIS IS YOUR SPOT. We were a large group (they were so great in accommodating us last minute) & had a set menu. Which was pretty much all the stars of the menu. Highlights for me were the scallops, fish balls, grilled chicken & the shaved ice 😍 it's a great spot for foodies, their cocktail menu is limited as they don't have a full bar. Big vibes & a huge shout out to Laura who was super attentive & accommodating. Food is served quite quickly so if that's not your bag, I'd let them know.

Amazing experience at Pichai, great food, love the intentionally curated menu & they have great service, always filling up our waters & just very detail oriented. Shaved ice was so fresh & amazing also huge, scallops & curry were also amazing, loved the flavors of the chicken but could have been a better portion size of chicken for that dish. Note they have a long chefs menu that's not on their website, so keep an open mind. But so worth the hype & worth having to booking a reservation way in advance.

Truly an amazing dining experience. I haven't had so much flavor in so long. I sat at the bar & the bartender was LOVELY. What he did right was repeat back my order several times as to make sure my order is right. This is a professional move as I had a terrible dining experience at another restaurant previously where the server accused I didn't order one dish & I obviously did.

Service was impeccable, the kind where it's not too much but just right, a delicate dance. I really appreciated one server bringing me the food & asked if I wanted to hear French or English I thought that was really thoughtful & not assuming even though many English speaking people dine there.

On to the food- the scallops are just divine, so many explosions of flavor. The fermented pork belly also so delicious. Smashed cucumbers were just perfect. I would perhaps skip out on the tapioca balls as they seemed a bit lost especially if you're going to order something that has rice or sticky rice, it'll be too much carbs & make you full. As a solo diner it was great to have the option of having half portions. The amount suggested by my server was just right, allowing me to take home leftover curry for dinner the next day. (The curry is always a good choice to take home for the next day!) A special place not to be missed!

Wow, where to start.

Overall a fantastic dining experience. I highly recommend the mushroom salad & the raw scallops & pork belly were good as well. What really stood out in our experience was not specifically the service of our waitress but of the support staff. The bussers, the pass, & even hosts were all very kind & I think speaks highly about what kind of operation they are running at Pichai. I can't wait to come back to try more things.

Dined at Pichai on the last night of our weekend trip to Montreal - it was the highlight of our trip.

The Atmosphere: warm, full our colors, life, & small hidden details wherever you look. Great music & vibe overall.

The Service: we didn't have a reservation & were able to get a seat at the bar for 2. Our primary server (a brunette man wearing a shirt saying'piano') was welcoming, knowledgeable, & gave us great recommendations. He guided us through the menu & continued to make sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. There was ~6 other front of house staff in the restaurant at the time, everyone of which interacted with us at some point in our meal, from water service, refreshing out cutlery & plates, & small quality checks throughout the service made for an amazing dining experience. Big applause to the service staff for their attention to detail.

The Food: no notes whatsoever. We ordered 5 dishes, plus dessert to share amongst 2 people & that was the perfect amount of food. Each dish was perfectly created with a variety of elements that all complemented each other perfectly. We had the scallop crudo, tapioca dumplings, soft boiled egg, pork belly, red curry, & Thai tiramisu.

Thank you to everyone at Pichai, I will be telling everyone I know about this restaurant.

I would rather say that this's a hit n miss restaurant. First of all, get the raw scallops please ppl ! It is so good ! Well balanced limey flavor with the right texture of the cold fresh scallops , very tasty! However it went downhill form the very fabulous scallops, because of the'way too salty seasonal menu item -- fried chicken'. It comes with a nice bowl of sticky rice & bitter greens ( which are pretty nice) , but the fried chicken itself was super salty & relatively dry , it almost feels like it was forgotten by the chef & left in the super salty fish sauce for more than 3 days ! Even with the sticky rice & bitter greens, it was way too salty! Sadly, when we mentioned this to the waiter at the end, we didn't get any answers from the kitchen. The curry dishes are fine, it just the fact that they don't have any green curry dish at the moment let me down a bit since me personally finds the most attractive curry is hand down green ! Hunger steak is pretty good in curry sauce, the mushroom curry is a bit too sweet for my taste, but it all fine. Just the fried chicken, avoid it at all cost ! By the way, the atmosphere was nice though, chill & filled with fish sauce scent 😀

Not sure where the Thai food comes into play

We started off with the scallops which were a solid 8.5/10 but everything fell apart shortly after.

The tartare & the pork jowl were okay (maybe a 6/10 but the rice that it came with felt like cement rather than sticky rice)… the food was also way too salty

The duck dish & the noodle dish however were both irredeemably disgusting. Incredibly oily, bland & the meat feeling like the texture of pet food.

We were expecting a lot more from this restaurant based on the reviews we saw online.

Thai food is usually fragrant, spicy & delicious & honestly this joint should be shut down by the Thai embassy. (False advertisement)

amazing. LOVE the scallops, fermented pork belly, grilled pork collar & thai tea tiramisu. all super flavourful super delicious.

one thing to note we got served the sticky rice with the pork belly so we thought it came with that dish & ate it all just w that but later realized it was just a sticky rice for the table :p shoulda kept some for the other dishes
