My friend has been raving about this restaurant since the first time he went. At one point, he was going two times a week because he loved it so much (& wanted to support a brand new local business). Let's say my expectations were through the roof!
Well, they deserve all the compliments. They transport you on a journey of carefully selected local produce, prepared with the greatest care. I hate beetroot, & their beets dish was one of my favourite. They are that good.
Every member of the team was exceptionally kind, fun to talk with, & knew everything about the dish & its wine pairing. Special shout out to Fanny, who made us feel very welcome & took great care of us.
I will certainly go back next time I am in Montreal!
Nous avions réservé pour un anniversaire. L'endroit est magnifique, ambiance intime & chaleureuse, murs de briques réconfortants autour des groupes.
L'accueil & le service sont excellents. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié que la cheffe vienne elle-même présenter les plats à certaines reprises, car il est facile de se laisser emporter par sa passion & son amour de son travail.
Nous avons chacune commandé un 5 services. Le rythme des plats est très adéquat, laissant suffisamment de temps entre chaque service sans que cela ne s'attarde excessivement. Les plats sont diversifiés, magnifiques visuellement & intéressants en goûts. Les saveurs sont unique d'un plat à l'autre, parfois complémentaires, parfois surprenantes face à ce qu'on peut assumer à l'oeil, mais toujours positives.
Notre petite critique est que les portions étaient petites, bien qu'on s'y attend pour une restauration haut de gamme.
La force des desserts vient compléter le repas à la perfection, ce fût nos coups de coeur de la soirée.
I could tell they want to offer good service but the server was really busy & always quickly walked by & dropped a sentence: is everything ok? & rush to next table, in the end we even saw her shirt was covered some food stains…when introducing the dish she kept forgetting what was the dish about, struggling between several tables.
The most impressed dishes were the first entree beet (BETTERAVE) & the pour over coffee in the end. The bread is good however it's not refillable; QANTU chocolate is always our favorite brand so it's nice to see their name on the menu. Others we found it ok, but presentation is good. We walked out with full stomach but not a very satisfied feeling.

Ma femme a pris la dégustation 3 services & moi le 5 services ce qui nous a permis de varier nos choix & d'apprécier la splendeur & l'exécution presque parfaite pour l'ensembe plats servis. Olivier & toute l'équipe nous ont accompagné tout au long de la soirée pour l'expérience culinaire & l'accompagnement des vins. Ce restaurant travaille en équipe & ça transparaît. BRAVO à toute l'équipe! Vous méritez amplement les 5 étoiles.

Had come here a couple months back, was recommended to me by a friend to try out their tasting menu. Did the wine pairing which was excellent, however, the food was a bit lacklustre. Very high price point, nothing was standing out to me, service was ok, nothing was really explained so the food journey wasn't immersive. The dessert was probably the best part of the meal.
Vraiment un pur délice. Tout est exécuté à la perfection. Nous étions au bar & nos interactions avec les membres de l'équipe furent très agréables & chaleureux. Nous avons énormément apprécié que la cheffe prenne le temps de venir discuter avec nous plusieurs fois dans la soirée afin de valider notre expérience. Bravo à toute l'équipe. a+

Our first visit to Panacée was beautiful. We tried the 5-course tasting menu & all dishes scored high with the exception of the stuffed onion. Portion sizes for main dishes could've been a tad more generous though each course packed a flavourful punch. Service was excellent & the attention to detail for the birthday boy was certainly appreciated. Bravo to this amazing team. We loved our experience 🥂
