Restaurant Nord est décrit comme une expérience gourmande située sur l'île des Sœurs qui propose une interprétation plus décontractée de la haute cuisine et met en valeur les produits du terroir québécois selon les saisons. Le menu est perçu comme comportant de nombreux plats froids, ce qui peut sembler inadapté en hiver, et la carte des vins est intéressante avec des cocktails proposés, bien que l absence d'un sommelier sur place soit parfois signalée. Le coût est élevé et l'expérience culinaire est vue comme intéressante mais pas exceptionnelle. Certains retours évoquent un service diversifié et des plats très bons et recommandent l établissement, tandis que d autres témoignages décrivent une expérience décevante, notamment un canard froid et une préparation longue qui nuisent au rapport qualité prix. We ate at the Nord restaurant during our visit to Strom Spa, & the experience was disappointing.
We did not expect the'Nordic' cuisine concept to mean that most dishes would be served cold. The duck I ordered was cold, chewy, & not enjoyable, & overall the food was underwhelming, especially for the price point. Preparation time was also very long, which made the experience even more frustrating.
Given that the food quality does not match the pricing or the spa's standards, I would recommend eating elsewhere before or after your spa visit rather than relying on the restaurant.
A dépassé mes attentes. Menu saisonnier créatif qui reflète bien les saveurs & les couleurs de l'automne. Excellente sélection de vin. Une belle combinaison gastronomique avec le site enchanteur du spa. Coûteux mais bonne valeur pour le prix.

Super expérience culinaire pour bien compléter son passage au spa, le service était impeccable, les portions plus que généreuses, un menu tout en fraîcheur avec beaucoup d'aromates. Le plateau artisan était juste parfait, beaucoup de variété (cornichons, fromages bien chambrés, rillette de poisson, noix assorties, marinades). Il était possible de remplacer son peignoir mouillé sans frais, ce qui est très agréable pour bien manger au sec (ce ne sont pas tous les endroits qui l'offre si je me fie à mes autres récentes expériences en spa). La terrasse chauffée était également une belle touche :-)
A cute oasis just outside downtown Montreal. This location in particular was small. I had an okay time. I didn't get any treatments but used the facilities. There wasn't a scrub room & my shower stall ran out of conditioner. The locker room didn't have enough benches & people had to wait while others got dressed before they could access their lockers. It was also hard to find space to put down your belongings (ie. The robe & towel). It was a little strange to have security guards on the grounds checking water & tea jugs. Other places have designated spa personnel for this. Security would walk around in full uniform -- boots & all while everyone else is in barefoot or flip flops/sandals. Also, the main entrance isn't clearly marked.
We did a group reservation this past weekend. The massage therapists did a great job. But the reason for the three stars instead of a perfect 5 was because the spa should really try to improve their administration. 1. Despite booking as a group, my partner did not get a reminder or any email confirmation. Which left us confused. In my previous experience with other spas, they will email & remind every party in the group. 2. I guess she was new, but the payment process took unnecessarily long. My partner & I paid separately, & the amount was suppose to be equal. However, i ended up getting overcharged. 3. As part of the booking process, we were given the option to select our therapist preference. Which my partner did not get in the end...
This place would be ok if you've never been to any other thermal spa experience. For the price, it offers much less in terms of saunas & thermal pools than expected. It was very hard to spend more than a couple hours here as there weren't many saunas or thermal pools. The aroma sauna had no aroma & we found the outdoor scenery at least at night was not given a lot of love. The price is very expensive considering the Spa Finlandais is about 1/3rd the price & is many times nicer with a lot more attractions. I will say that the Swedish massage was pleasant but I can't recommend this place knowing that Spa Finlandais is not too far away for a much better experience.
Je suis allée au Strom Spa le weekend dernier. Je leur avais envoyé un email au préalable pour avoir plus d'information. J'ai reçu un email de confirmation de réception mais aucun email qui répondait à mes questions. Malgré notre réservation, nous avons dû attendre en file 20 minutes en arrivant. Nous sommes arrivés au spa à 11h30 & on nous a dit qu'il fallait réserver le resto une fois là-bas, mais leur première disponibilité était à 15h30. Autant dire que nous sommes partis avant puisque nous avions faim. Le service là-bas n'était pas à la hauteur du prix que ça coûte. Je ne recommande pas le Strom spa à Saint-Sauveur, vu mon expérience très décevante.
A few things. Their website kept glitching during the booking for a party of 2. Was unable to get all the treatments wanted. I reserved for a Strom massage whereas the other person I was with reserved for an exfoliation. We arrived 30 min early as requested. I'm sent to the bigger "tent" outside to wait for a massage therapist. I'm the first one there & the last one to be called...We get to a smaller "tent"....I'm asked what I want (this is close to 15 min into the time of my appointment). I'm a bit surprised by the question, but tell the employee my reservation is for a Strom massage. I'm then told that hot stones aren't a good idea & that this person has heard people have gotten burnt & they can give me a hot oil massage instead & that it's the same price. I'm put off & my mistake was agreeing to stay (I figured, I'm here & I've been wanting a massage for a while & rather not get burnt?so yea). Well, it was one of the most deceiving massages I've ever recieved. I'm pretty sure the person was chewing gum during my session. Not only that, but every couple of minutes, they'd pause & remove one hand from my body (Itchy nose? Nervous tick? I have no idea). Then the massage ends & I look at the time...basically got closer to a 45 min massage than an hour one. The therapist tells me they ended up giving me a deep tissue massage...that I have a lot of knots (yes...that's why I came in for a massage) & that I would feel sore the next day. That didn't feel like a deep tissue massage & I did not feel sore the next day...Anyways, I go to join the person I was with & wait until they are done...They're surprised to see me out so early. I check online & notice that the deep tissue massage is not in fact the same price as the Strom massage & make sure to tell the employee at the front desk. The experience was not worth the price either way. Thankfully, the person I was with really enjoyed their body care treatment (hence the 3 star). I'm not sure what happened in my case...Perhaps a newer employee or/& perhaps the employees aren't trained properly to perform some of the treatments? Just odd that they wouldn't know how to provide a massage named after the spa itself. So yes, sorely (but not actually sore) disappointed & turned off by my experience. ***Reading through other recent reviews, seems massage therapists aren't very experienced or properly trained.

My husband & I enjoy going here during the week, taking the day off together while kids are at school. It's a nice spa, close to the city. This being said, be very careful because if you reserve the thermal experience you CANNOT cancel. They will charge you, even if you try changing the date/canceling well in advance. This policy is thievery & should be reported to consumer protection. Anyone should be allowed to cancel or change an appointment with 48 hours notice. You should not be allowed to lock people in like that, as many unexpected things can happen, & to charge someone who tries to give notice is simply bad business.
Staff was extremely welcoming both at the reception & at the restaurant. Some improvements can be made such as the overhaul of the robes for instance, we were given overused robes. Ensure that clients keep their voices down (the experience was a noisy one) & a clear sign at the entrance that you need to wait in line inside at the reception depending on your choice of visit. The food was good & the spa experience was good. The bathrooms were clean.
I only went for a massage & it was amazing . (My massage was done by Simon) I always ask for him. Their thermal experience is not so great , I never really get a chance to enjoy myself in the unwinding areas as it gets too packed & you never really find a space for yourself. No matter what time it is it hard to settle in a quiet area. You would have to show up & hope that there are only 7 -10 people attending this facility
J'ai acheté deux entrées saison haute pour un cadeau & cela m'a pris tellement d'effort pour juste réserver ma place, que cela commence vraiment mal! La réservation en ligne avec mon compte ne marche pas, j'essaye d'appeler mais personne te répond, le service de rappel ne fonctionne pas (une belle voix d'ordinateur te dit que quelqu'un va te rappeler), j'envoie un email, reçois un message automatique disant qu'on me répondra dans 2 jours, 4 jours après rien, impossible de réserver en ligne, ça ne fonctionne pas....va comprendre, j'utilise le chat, rien non plus, finalement je rappel dans les horaires de bureau, une dame me répond & n'a ABSOLUMENT aucune empathie & aucun sens du service....finalement j'avais réserver deux espaces (en passant par un nouveau compte) à deux heures différentes (9H & 9H30), on me répond que c'est IMPOSSIBLE de déplacer la réservation de 9H à 9H30 pour que mon invitée & moi soyons sur le même horaire (genre à 30 minutes de différence, le matin!!! Really! - Je regrette vraiment d'avoir dépenser autant d'argent pour ce SPA.... & en lisant tous les commentaires, je réalise que mon cas est loin d'être l'unique. Conclusion : la prochaine fois ne pas se faire attraper par les joiles promos & lire les avis google avant!

Absolutely loved my experience, from the easy online reservation to the check-out at the end of my blissful spa day. Even though there was a crowd, I found that people respected the silence rule, so it didn't feel hectic. Location is beautiful & adds to the Nordic atmosphere. The Strom massage pairs perfectly with the thermal experience. Massotherapist was professional & attentive to my needs. I adored all the saunas, hot & cold baths as well as the relaxation rooms. The restaurant was the cherry on top although a tad pricey, but you definitely get your money's worth. Perfect escapade from the city life without having to go that far. Felt like a million bucks at the end of my spa day. Looking forward to my next visit.
What a fun surprise! I'd never heard of this kind of thing, but it was a low price & a really great experience! We also ate in the restaurant, which was incredible but also expensive, be prepared for that. We paid 80 per person for the spa, & approx 110 for 2 for dinner with one drink. My coworkers are all going after seeing the photos & the price! Amazing, this is an excellent anniversary idea or birthday getaway!
It's one of the best places for spa & relaxation. I like that there is no certain time limit to this place u like other Spas around the city. Something about being in the outdoors just make sit so much better. Really beautiful spa
